what about that guy who sang 'Naina Mila Ke '?

I like the way , he created such a fabulous atmosphere in the auditions.....what do you feel about that guy who sang that sufi song "naina mila ke"? how far he can go in Indian Idol?

You mean the Rajasthani folk singer and his group? Well they are live performers. They clearly created a great atmosphere. But his solo performance was no great shakes.

Since this competition is a search for a recording artist (not live performer), with a view to Bollywood, I don't think Swaroop Khan has a great future in Indian Idol 5, unfortunately.

But anyway, those who liked their performance should check this out:

I observed while watching that both the time he sang sololy , but only difference in his later performence was that there was no instrumental support ...... but in indian idol they have to perform live and with instruments...... isn't it? o.k that's only my point of view your views are equally regarded......and thanx for posting the clip too

Yes....I agree....One song i really wan2 listen from him is Piya Re...Honestly i think he can sing this song better than Toshi did...
And the other one is Naina....

It'll take time before he is on his own. he's more into sufi songs and should stick to that genre for now.

yeap he did. They told him to practice and try next time. he didn't know anything about Bollywood/pop music at all. I think its a better deal.

And honestly xcept Naushad Ali no other contestant has been an extraordinary one for me

ya i like naushaad ali too. But this other guy (the one who shaved) is kind of ok too.
