Who is this guy I wonder sometimes?....who's the real Rohan??

The guy who practically nails anything that moves and has a new girlfriend/hookup/whatever every 3 days or every other week.....

OR is it the guy who was so boyishly, cutely all enamoured by Avantika in this week's epi??....We've never seen Rohan like this even with Sukrit and that seemed to be a pretty serious relationship....atleast by Rohan standards😆😆....with Avantika, it's like he was transported back in time to when he was 23 and he first fell deeply in love with some girl....was Avantika his very first love?? His very first heartbreak? Is that why he couldn't help himself from getting drawn to her again after all this time?? He basically all but told her how much he likes her and still cares for her.....it's another matter that HE got turned down by free spirit/flighty scatterbrain Avantika for a change😆😆

The best line from the last episode was when Rohan said," Lagta hai course poora ho gaya!" That just explained everything, that he needed to spend all that time with Avantika which he did, so that he'd be able to get over her finally which he actually did in the end! He actually did love and wanna marry her, so it does take time to get over someone like that, Sometimes we have to just give another try to make sure that we're not doing something wrong.. Once we're sure, then the answer's rite in front of us..

The Avantika chapter in his life is now finally closed!

well Rohan is a mysterious character..but around Avantika he was totally different..which makes it intriguing..

I think the real Rohan Mehra is that boyish, naughty, flirty yet sensitive guy. I think Rohan's inability to committ to any relationship of his comes from the fact that he was heartbroken by Avantika. When he talked to Avantika one got the impression he had been really committed to her and even considered mariage. The Rohan of today shirks from any real time committment (mostly marriage) as is apparent in his relation with Sukrit. He genuinely cared about her but wasn't able to committ to her.

I think the exploration of his relation with Avantika helped us as a viewer see a different side of Rohan that he most probably hides. He is sarcastic, flirty and blunt but he is also sensitive (there are many times shown in the show where he is sensitive of Isha's opinion of him), and behind it all a genuinely decent guy...

Well said, Wafah....I also got the impression that the breakup with Avantika back when he was so young might have been a big reason for his committment phobia in the long run....cuz he did seem pretty committed to Avantika and did say that he would have married her ultimately but they were too young back then....so maybe that early heartbreak in life did shape the current Rohan Mehra we now see to a large extent. I agree that the exploration of his relationship with Avantika did show us a different side to Rohan....he definitely has his sensitive side...I'm not denying that.....they've shown it from time to time in other contexts throughout the season as well....he's QUITE sensitive about Isha's opinion about him sometimes😆😆.

As for Rohan-Avantika....I think what made things different in this case was that in a very rare scenario, we got to see a person even MORE irresponsible than Rohan😆😆....two irresponsible ppl together won't really have lasted in the long run in my opinion....I think it was young love...and Rohan has outgrown it to a large extent....maybe seeing her again after so long brought a rush of memories back.....but ultimately it wouldn't have lasted....Ironically for a change the girl is shying of committment, not Rohan😆....
