A POLL FOR CID-IANS. A serious one.

No Offence Meant.
It is my opinion that after 13 years CID standard has become rather slow. Leaving our trio apart, the show itself is in need of revamping. After 13 years, the creative team, the production house, the channel, the cast and crew must have become fed up.
Today's case was pretty okay and I did expect the poison in the AC and the killer was really expected too....
Well, I am not at all saying it shud end. All am saying is that they shud take a short break and come back as a fresh session, maybe a session of another 13 years and another 13 years.... Am not happy with the standard and am sure many of you too.... The re-runs have shown the difference. It wud be really nice if they make it into 2 parts, an hour each.
Am sure the cast and crew need a break. Even Shivaji sir, Adi sir and Dayanand sir need some rest. They can come back refreshed....
Am not here to hurt u, but I am being frank. CID really needs a break. I know it wud mean boredom for us, even me, but the re-runs are there....

you have a very interesting point here drilabh.The cid has indeed slipped in terms of standards as we can observe that from the reruns, but trying to take a break and starting later again is not going be easy. Cid every friday has become a tradition for these 13 long years. Besides us there are millions of other fans in our country that wait for cid to start every friday.The audience has connected with it so much that they will be expecting more and more from cid team. So if they just stop abruptly in the middle like that its gonna break a lot of hearts.They might even lose many of their fans.
The solution to this recruiting excellent script writers and art directors so that we can experience the same essence that we used to like in those golden years of cid😊.
And about the cast taking a break...well I'm sure they get their schedules fixed with the director. If they would be not getting a break throughout these 13 years then none of them would have continued acting in cid this long. I hope I made my point clear and didn't bore you. Anyways sorry if did😳

I definitely agree that the show needs a revamp.They need to change the monotone and make it more refreshing. But, since CID is a weekly show, I think they have a chance to revamp the show any time. If they start planning the revamp and fix a definite date for the airing of "the all glossed up" episode, I'm sure they can do it without the need for a break. I can't bear the thought of missing CID even for a week...😭

Besides I feel that a break always ruins a show somehow. Especially on Indian television. The whole new season concept hasnt really caught up in India and they dont really know how to handle it.

You know that starone serial DMG? It's actually something like the second season of the series. The first one used to be called "Sanjeevani". I used to be an avid watcher of the show. It used to deal with various cases and patients coming to the hospital. It used to deal with a different case every week(Ofcourse the serial tured into another K-serial at the end of the season). And then they ended it. After a long time when season 2 was starting, I was rather excited.... but then, DMG happened. And look how it turned out. Totally lost the concept. I mean none of the actors even look like doctors... they just look like some random models who put on lab coats 😕
Anyways, I dont mean any offence to any DMG fans here... but, let's all pray that our CID never turns like that.

@Devashri- Yeah u r right... I have seen dat among other indian serials.... Its like a jinx.... Well, still something must be done... I WISH I JOIN THE PRODUCTION HOUSE ABHI ISSI WAQT AND CHANGE THE STANDARD!!!! Ugh! Grrr!

I dunt hink so. this show is breaking the record of longest running show. Moreover if they come back after a break there is a fair chance that the cast and crew changes and people will loose interest in the show. i think it should stay the same but they should get more people to play victems and family members coz mostly they are the same. I want sunaina back as Daya's girlfriend

CID is a weekly show, does not need a break to revamp. They can do it at anytime when they have the drive.

I agree that it shouldnt take a break..but Sunaina back?!!! I dont wanna comment!!! No offence meant...Sorry!!!

No break we have seen so many serials taking break but its not possible to achieve same heights when they return. Same production house taken break in Aahat and after every break its standard are decreasing. Aahat 1 was the best and Aahat 4 every one knows.
