Jyoti shouldn't forgive Brij NOR Pankaj. It's true that Pankaj was a victim of her deception, but he crossed the limit when he started questioning the parentage of her baby. If Jyoti had someone else's baby, why would she have gone back to Pankaj? She could have moved on w/ that guy, or just had it on her own.

Also, while Pankaj was the victim of her deception, it's also true that while he treated her well, he also tolerated her abuse by Bhairavi. Contrast his behavior w/ Uday's. When Uday saw Bhairavi offering Sudha money to walk out of the marriage, he walked out of the house. He was willing to completely downgrade his lifestyle so that Sudha could be spared any torture. Yet, Pankaj, despite witnessing how Jyoti was always in the firing line of CM, would not only try to reason w/ CM, but also try to reason w/ Jyoti, as though there was a latent goodness about CM that was just being witheld. Jyoti being kicked out was a blessing in disguise. Now, she needs a guy who can see the problems that she faces - both literally and figuratively. Pankaj is neither.

Another point. I know we haven't gotten to it as yet, but while w/ Brij we address the issue of abusive hubbies, how about addressing the issue of abusive moms/MILs? Like Padma & Bhairavi? At the end of the serial, I don't want Bhairavi being rehabilitated - I want her thrown out of that family, and get legally asked to stop using the name Vashist. I want Padma to be roundedly disgraced, even divorced. Maybe if KK dies, she'll be widowed, which will be a compelling enough punishment. Point is - I want to see an end to Bhairavi bossing over Sudha, and I want to see an end to Padma bossing over anybody - be it Jyoti, Sushma, Deepu or Poonam.

I agree w/ Periwinkle in another thread - if the serial is headed to an end, kill off Pankaj.

I agree, but I do have a soft corner for Pankaj. He is blind, and while he could have tolerated his wife lying or keeping a secret, Jyoti should have blurted out the secret in front of Brij on the day Pankaj introduces Brij to her. Brij would have been totally caught off guard. All she needed to say is "Pankaj, you have brought this guy in! He is a snake and I know him very very well from my past. Please ask him to leave and come inside with me. I will tell you about him'. BUT No!! She kept quiet and although I am a married woman, I can only imagine what a married man who can't see will IMAGINE what his wife and her former b/f will be doing right under his nose and in their home while HE (the blind idiot) is hosting a party for them! Just close your eyes and think for a second, Vrisha. I seriously feel that Pankaj can be forgiven. But I don't want Jyoti to go back to him. Or to Kabir. Girls like Jyoti deserve to be alone, coz they will flatten themselves as doormats to anybody and everybody. For real life Jyotis - I just pray that they grow a backbone for the sake of their children at least!

Brij on the other hand, can't be forgiven even if GOD came and vouched for him. What he did to Sushma (not to Jyoti) is simply unforgivable. Sending her to Thakur knowing what was in store for her...just too sad. What if she had contacted AIDS or some form of VD and died? Did he even think about it?? He sent her to her death - both emotionally and physically - on that day. He deserves a death sentence for that.

If you observe many serials - the MIL will make the newly wed DIL starve for days (in the name of vrat for the husband or some such religious mumbo-jumbo), insult them for days, and literally keep them on the throes of death, but just before the serial ends -- will fold hands and say 'beti, I was so wrong, and you are the mahaan daughter of our house'. DIL forgives and all is well. One more worthless serial comes to an end, with yet another to take its place. To quote - if you remember in Bandini, as a young married girl, the girl is forced to strip coz her SIL thinks she has stolen something. She lives in a storeroom and literally is ignored for days. Today, we have all forgiven it, or have we? People like I do not forgive insults to my psyche that easily! Pray that Jyoti and Sushma remember this. In case they develop temp amnesia, we can play back all the previous episodes and remind them of the past 1 yr.

I would like them to kill off Brij. But Pankaj should realize his mistake and at least try to be a good husband to Neelam...CM should be asked to leave the family. But Jyo and Kabir should remain partners..not lovers, and definitely not as a husband wife. Jyoti needs to do some serious thinking about the meaning of a wife. Coz the definition of a wife is not a doormat.

i agree with anu rulz n mahmansma👏👍🏼 i mean what kind of crap r they showing. brij repenting. oh come on give me a break. he's drunk n sick that's the only reason why he's repenting. if he wasn't sick then wud he repent...no!!! ok let's think that yes he's really transformed himself but what later.😲 when he gets well n is not sick then what... 😕what if he bcomes the same old evil brij... what if he again starts torturing sushma n make her sleep with another guy again. his sins r simply not forgivable not at any cost. why shud sushi forgive him... just bcoz she's a woman. why is it that alwayz women have 2 sacrifice n forgive? why not men? if men were shown 2 forgive in this serial then pankaj wud have forgiven her but nope... had the same scenario happen that sum1 else was in pankaj's life b4 marriage n he had hid the past from jyoti but it comes out later then surely jyoti wud forgive him bcoz she's a woman n pankaj is the man. i just don't understand the logic behind all this nonsense which is shown in serials. why do they provoke the wrong message 2 the society. n the most imp. thing is if jyoti can fight 4 women's rights all over then why not 4 herself. why didn't she file a case against brij n get sushi divorced. at least sushi wudn't have 2 say that her hubby is in jail(though he isn't) she cud only say she has separated from her hubby. why all this mess...

just by simply breaking the bottles, crying n coughing, being drunk... does these simple n negligible things symbolize that brij is repenting. does it wash his sins. in that case the creatives must b spreading the message that men can beat their wives, send them off 2 sleep with other men 2 earn money, etc... n then break bottles, drop a few tears, cough, get drunk then their sins r washed...😡 simply rubbish!🤢 after all, sum sins r just not forgivable. i can never forgive brij 4 taking advantage of sushma's craziness n love 4 him. she luved him more than anything else. she kept him above her family. ruined her relationship with her sisters... n now what does she get in return. a ruined life!!!😡

well, if i have hurt anybody's feelings then plz i'm sorry. especially guyz, just cudn't tolerate what the serial is showing...😳 but hey, KK sacrifices n forgives while padma rules the world of sharma house😆😉

So I didn't expect any of them to think about this, as it would just be an unfulfilled wish. Even Jyoti wasn't planning on it - she was just sad that Sushma was sad that she couldn't have such an event. The idea of having it in the first place was not Jyoti's, but Kabir's.

No, I didn't mean that. Obviously a godh barai is something that they could never be able to afford. But given that Padma just recently attended another godh barai, danced there, and came back to talk about it... not once did she or Dadi even think in their minds that they wish Sushma cud have had such a godh barai if they had money. It looks like they forgot she's pregnant. The scene looked quite unrealistic that only Jyoti felt bad for Sushma when her own mom and grandma are chatting away abt their neighbor's godh barai and how glowing the girl looked in her sasural.
