SHreya,

CVs listening to us - high hopes!

ANyway, let them do whatever they want to - thinking about this too much is also tiring. 😉

And anyway, they get paid for thinking all this rubbish. So they better do that. 😆

i cent per cent agree with you...

in fact, when the serial had started, Sia was the female protagonist against Ammaji the antagonist who happened to be the mukhiya of Veerpur and responsible for the conservative mindset of the society and female infanticide and foeticide in the area.

then, love happened between the lead pair..Raghav and Sia..what followed was a series of revelations that the female protagonist had been trapped into false love by the antagonist's son.........her wings had been clipped...she and her family were humiliated and then, we saw her returning back to the Haveli to seek revenge/teach them a lesson with a big Tilak on her forehead...can anybody forget that episode...no...a big no............and our expectation levels further rose, that apart from getting the kasba rid of those unjust practices like female infanticide, she had another goal to her life...to bring Ammaji to books......

and that is it.....

that was the last time...probably, we saw a strong protagonist....after that..the downward trend started....

her acts/dialogues were usually confined to simple sentences like "Ab kya hoga Chachi" (i think the one she must have used at least a 100 times till now)......which showed that her strong vision had started to blur and that she was becoming weaker and weaker with a loss of sense of judgement.......

incidents like DM, Avataar's remarriage, Sonali's coming into the scene further showed us a character that had become far meeker than what we had witnessed in the initial episodes...

and then, she was completely sidelined........today she probably shares the same screen space time as the rest of the ladies in the serial be it Santosh, Sunehri, Jhoomar or Rangili....in fact , these days, Sheela chachi appears much wiser and stronger with clear concepts...

yes, it is not Sia's fault, but whoever (read the Creatives here) has destroyed her character is the one to be held guilty.......she was this fiery soul who wanted to educate the illiterate women, raise her voice even in front of the local MP, fight with Ammaji for justice, is simply shown to be doing household chores (mostly in the kitchen or drying clothes 😉 ) and shedding a tear or two....saying MERA TOH DIL Ghabra raha hai chachi.......

no doubt, the present Amba Track is very interesting...even i dont want to miss a single episode these days.....but does this mean...that to fight hooliganism and conservative malpractices (read Ammaji and her clan's ideology), only a dacoit's power (read arms, ammunition, power, kidnapping here) can be of use...Education cannot fight against injustice.......nor can it change the mindset of the people? rather these very educated people have time and again been shown falling into traps laid for them (be it Raghav's second marriage, Sonali's feelings to fight the black magic, Sia's superstitions like the Kundali etc.)........

so only dacoits...who wield power can fight...the others ... the educated ones like Sia should lay their arms (of knowledge and vision) to rest..............they are of no use...

anyways...why to apply so much of mind...when the simple funda to watch and enjoy serials is to forget logical thinking..........dont apply your brain, if you want to enjoy a serial...just swim with the present wave....and believe me the present wave of Amba (whether it is accepted by my mind or not) is really enjoyable...just flow with the current...........you will love it......leave aside all thoughts of Sia and her capabilites and dreams.........what Amba is doing to Ammaji and her sons, and to the serial at large is worth watching....it wont be wrong to say that it has revitalized the almost dead story suddenly....giving it a new lease of life........

Kudos to Amba...and let Sia take rest.....(till the CVs want her to)......

Regalla..you are so right..i am so glad that our views match!!!..i was begining to feel i am the only one who feels this way......because according to me siyas role has become insignificant in the show...thats what i feel.....i had a good laugh today while watching the episode when she spoke about amba to santosh "bhabi" today..because i thought of your post ..and how you said that one now only hears chachi or bhabhi and some helpless comment from her!!!!...specially when one looks back and remembers all the humiliation followed by vows of revenge from her!!!....it just doesent fit in you see....and yes its blatantly clear to anyone who watches lado that she now shares equal screen space and dialogues to any of the other women in the house!!!!....i am quite happy to tell you the truth, with the present developments...and i much prefer ambas role..i have a feeling its a cameo though.....but i must say i agree with you..it really does suit us if sia takes rest!!!....i think its the creatives who are to blame for diminishing her character...but then who knows what are their reosons for sidelining her...when infact she was brought in as a lead!!... like you said these soaps are to have fun and forget logical thinking....so .lets just enjoy a good track and forget about everything else.....

@sonia77 - first of all, thanks for replying..am yet again happy that your reply also gives words to my thoughts .... . 😊

yep.......Sia's character has been sidelined... actually i feel that when the show was conceptualized, Sia was to be the lead heroine who was to fight for social justice etc. Sia was to be the protagonist and Ammaji the antagonist, Raghav was to act like that pinch of salt to add spice to the dish being churned out..... the rest of the cast were to play side characters. But, then, may be due to various reasons best known to the creatives, they messed up with the concept, the fight and the fury of the heroine were forgotten somewhere, she was sidelined and from a one lead show, it was made a "multi-star cast serial" sort of thing.....where each character has an equal share of screen space and activity area in the show....so if now (i stress on the word now....please read it as highlighted), Sia is shown cleaning the rice or daal, Jhoomar is shown cutting vegetables and Santosh or Chachi working on the gas stove.......remember ..... equal and justifiable distribution of screen space among all......and .... the basic goals for which the serial had started and gained momentum in the beginning is lost.....the story was near dead.... its soul had been kidnapped......

so, let us really forget Sia for some time......what use it is? that would raise questions in our minds....as to what she is achieving here? why to bother our poor minds unnecessarily.....

so Amba's cameo comes as a breezy relief..........i, for one, sincerely hope that she turns out to be that ammaji's daughter and stays back in the haveli only... so that we get to watch atleast one strong character in addition to that of Ammaji.....

and yes....as i mentioned earlier...the creatives had nearly killed the serial...its soul had been kidnapped...and now, this Amba brings a new lease of life.... lends a new soul to the serial...making it watchable again.....in fact, in the last 2-3 months, i was just managing with the written updates here (didnt have the patience to sit through the half an hour ordeal daily...) but now, off late, i look forward to the clock striking 10.30 pm again, to enjoy Amba and her gang's antics for the day....... i love the present track.......the previous one had disappointed me so much with its failure, that i am, frankly speaking, not looking forward to its revival sometime soon...let sleeping dogs lie....let me relish this Amba's presence ........ for as long as the creatives are not troubled again by the sudden interest/enthusiasm being shown by the viewers in the serial again.....and think it is not in the interest of .......(God Only Knows who????) and try to kill it again....... 😛 😛 😛

I agree Regalla...but i hope there will now soon be posts dedicated to rangeeli/sunehri......their role is slowly begining to overshadow siya 😉...i like rangeeli..she is a good performer if you ask me!!!..nothing to beat amba afcourse!!!!...but you are right..exept ammaji all the characters are at par now as far as roles and screen space goes!!!.....anyway lets see what amba has in store for their lot today...i do feel this track will lead to something significant in the show..

i agree wid u guys..sia has been reduced to a prop..her fiery character has given way to this subdued woman of the house who only ends up cursing ammaji bt finally does nothing proactive..and frankly behaves foolishly quite a lot of times, the vrath and aftermath tracks are examples of tht..i guess marriage does tht to u..now she is actually fully dependant on raghav..and like u said, sheela chachi shows lot more grit thn her now..sia is now one of the women of the house..sharing her thoughts wid them and working in the kitchen..

What I meant is that it's just a general discussion thing as I am disappointed with the CVs sometimes. You know you have your highs and lows.

And thanks for posting in the Forum after such a long time.

Hope everything's clear now. 😆😆😆

Now I get it ... how silly of me to jump to conclusions, lol
