Hello everyone, Bak with my weird topics 😆
Since we are/were talking about dancing show, so I m jus eager to knw how many of US knw how to dance? 😊
it's okay if you dun want to share, and you can jus neglect the topic.. but it will be good to knw tht we have dancers in the forum 😃

I'll start 😉
I have learnt hip hop, popping and locking, breaking, ( from Youtube videos 😆) now i m in Dancing Group
I knw bhangra ofcourse , bollywood dance 😊
swing dance( couple) 😉
Modern jazz( still in progress) 😆

looking forward to some sharings 😊

Nice topic! 😃

If you are talking about proper training:

I have learnt kathak for 15 years.
I know Indian Folk specially north east.
And I have done a 4 months workshop on manipuri dance.

And apart from these... I am well conversant with bollywood and elementary hiphop 😳

P.S I enrolled myself in salsa class, But after two days I got my job and then it became irregular and ultimately you know what!

nice sash! I fail in indian classical dancing, prolly cauz i m HK born, but I knw Bhangra, i m in bhangra team here! oh i should edit my post, I learnt it form youtube but i m part of dancing groups now 😛

I can only teach you kathak & NE folk 😆

But I always liked jazz... its nice that youare learning jazz.😳
You know parents....traditional bengali family they are more into classical😕

But I always wanted to learn jazz and contemporary. I sometimes try them by watching YT vdos. But its quite easy it you know some other dance style close to it. Par mera contemporary aur jazz se dur dur tak koi rishta nahi hain!

my mom used to be in giddha team when she was in coll! so yup have dancing genes 😆
Jazz is hard kinda, cauz the feelin you have in hip hop is jus opp of jazz 😛 but I guess i will learn now since i joined Terence workshop in HK! 😍
But I respect everyone who knw Indian classical dancing! Hats off to you! 👏

I am mainly a Hip Hop and Bollywood Fusion dancer and choreographer. I haven't had any formal training in it but have been dancing and choreographing these styles since 15. My teams and I have danced in competitions and organized dance shows since the past 8 years. I have also done Bhangra and Giddha and I help manage an all boys Bhangra team.

I have 4 years of Bharatnatyam and Kathak training. I stopped after I somehow got the hip hop groove. 😕

I've learned Rumba, Salsa, and Samba for a year (my best friend is a Latina), and same reason as Sash, I had to stop because of work. I've also learned some basic performing Paso Doble and Argentine Tango.

I have formulated a plan to open up my own dance school in the near future, so that is in progress right now. Wish me luck please 👍🏼😊

Lucky girl!!! I am jealous too😍 Jazz is so much fun! It is different from hip hop but it depends on what form of Jazz you take on. A lot of street hip hop is incorporated in some Jazz, which is SO much fun and exhausting =)😊

When it comes to exercising! the best dance is Bhangra for me :P but i m loving the Jazz! i tried learning belly dancing, but I think i need classes for tht hard to learn w/o assistance 😆
