Karan Wahi plays the raffish yet elegant Dr. Siddhant Modi of STAR One's Dill Mill Gayye. He's in the hit show with his namesake, Karan Singh Grover. Delhi boy Karan (Wahi, that is) feels that Dill Mill Gayye is the epicentre of all youth-based shows on the channel. We asked him why:

How has your character grown on DMG till now?

One change is that Dr. Siddhant's character has matured. The brat Sid is gone, and he's been transformed into a very serious man. I love playing Sid and it's amazing to find such growth in my character, which is full of high drama.

What changes may we expect with Karan Singh's entry?

The entry of Dr. Armaan Malik has really added extra soulto the story and such changes which are useful for the show are always welcome.

Have you ever felt left out? Any ego clashes?

I don't know. I stay away from controversies and tantrums as my job is to act, which I do. Karan Singh Grover is good company to work with. I've known him before Dill Mill Gayye, so no ego clashes!

Tell us where you think the show is headed next.

I genuinely don't know what will happen next but I am shooting with a little girl Tammanna and all I know is that now again I am working with Armaan and Riddhima, so there might be a change in the track I for one am enjoying all this drama.

Ranvir was my first characterand it is how I am remembered till date. Before I came Sid I was Ranvir and I was appreciated by the audiences. Dr. Sid Modi, who has shown different shades of acting. He, that is I, went from being a spoilt brat of 18, and then getting hitched, and now a married man of 22 years who is very serious. Overall it has been very interesting and great fun.

Your take on youth centric shows?

STAR One is renowned for its youth oriented shows like Miley Jab Hum Tum and Dill Mill Gayye, so the channel has got the flavour of the young minds. Even its Remix was very popular amongst the youth. Now, with the advent of DMG, there is a twist as now there is more drama, and drama of the sort that is relevant to this audience.

Personally, who would you want Riddhima to end up with?

I dont know. But I feel that she has been part of Armaans life for 2 years, so I dont want to comment on this.

Why did your character send divorce papers to Riddhima?

I have no clue and I will give you my creative director's number because she told me to act like this!

What is your character thinking?

What Riddhima will do will she forget Armaan?

What would Sid ideally want to happen?

He loves Riddhima and he wants Riddhima to be with him.

What is your character's equation with Armaan?

Sid and Armaan share a very good equation because both want Riddhima to be happy.

Would you have reacted differently had this been your real life?

I would never want my wife to go to her ex-lover. She is married to me and marriage happens only once.

Riddhima is still angry with Dr. Siddhanth as he was the one who told Armaan that she is still in love with him. She has passed an envelope to Siddhanth through Armaan, containing the divorce papers. Will Siddhanth sign the divorce papers?

That was good....I like his take on the show....and even he admits that Ridzi has been in Armaan's life for 2 years so yeh....I like that KW himself thinks that way. and yes- for real life- I am sure....he wouldnt want his wife to go to her ex lover and his marriage wouldnt happen like SR's did (no offence my opinion)
so yeh...I like his take on the whole stuff- AR all the way

ps: like how he mentioned that even he has no clue as to why Sid sent the divorce papers😆....like KW for his frankness and honesty

How i wish i had taken the interview and Karan Wahi would have given me the Creative Directors number.....then i surely would have given them a piece of my mind....i read this interview few minutes back....but anyways good that u posted😊

I know. I loved all his responses, esp the Creative Director one, and he seems to prefer AR as well.
But it seems hes gonna be in Lonavala b/c he says he's acting with Tamanaa along with KSG and Jennifer. So Lonavala is AR alone time.
