No Bollywood actress can pull of comedy (IMO). I found Sridevi also OTT (or maybe it was her screechy voice that i simply cannot stand 😵 but anyway just my opinion).

As far as comedy is concerned , our heroines are good playing sidekicks to actors.

The only comedy film Ash did was David Dhawan's Kum Kise Kum Nahin, but her role was nothing in that movie and she was over the top. Hopefully, she can prove to be a comedian! I hope so, let's see! India doesn't have a Sandra Bullock or Jennifer Aniston or Meg Ryan! And I think India needs someone who can play the average everyday woman and be funny and likeable! I mean remember in Miss Congeniality where Sandra justs gorges a pint of ice cream b/c she's depressed(i do that all the time) but when do we ever see that with Indian actresses. Or when sandra went nude for the proposal and she had a nice curvy body---not Miss Size 0 but curvy and we still looked sexy! This is off topic, but back to topic Indian actresses can't do romantic comedies and still play the average girl! Hopefully we can see something real soon!!
