Family property or whatever, it's just a house after all, not someone's life at stake here. No house is worth sleeping with someone or killing someone for. What is the worst that can happen - they will lose their family home with the memories of their childhood there. Big deal, they still have each other in the flesh and with honour intact. Plus they are an educated bunch not daily workers, they can find jobs and other houses. For a start, they can bunk in with chacha-chachi till they find another house.

That's another thing - what wrong have the chacha-chachi done to have Simi so ungratefully reject their help for her "khuddari" (self reliance)? What, it's more honourable to sleep with the enemy than accept charity from a friend?
