He was remembering what Roop said about love when Dhani was applying medicine on his shoulder..

Yes I think he does love her. Besides Dhani is becoming too hard core for Amber. I think they will have Amber finally give in to Sarla and never really know about Dhani until after Ambika marries her. Dhani and Amber are so far apart now, it just doesn't seem they have much chemistry anymore. I think the change in Dhani's changed the whole dynamic of this show and their onscreen relationship.
