So in the last part that I wrote, Milind and Prachi had started realizing the impact of their decision on their families. They both decide (individually) to try and give the marriage a fair shot. They both start making an effort to communicate better with each other, and seeing Prachi's interaction with his father and sister, Milind too starts softening up to her. Their relationship at work greatly improves, and as a result they are able to make better business decisions (they're not fully out of the water yet though). Just when their budding friendship begins to blossom the story experiences it's two major twists: 1. Milind's father falls very ill and 2. We see the introduction of "Mallika", the daughter of Milind's ex-boss, who's had her eyes set on Milind for years.
Now going back to Milind's fathers illness. He requires a lung transplant, which he eventually gets, but while he's recovering, he needs constant surveillance and monitoring. Owing to this, Prachi takes a decision which shocks everyone. She quits her job in the company to take care of her FIL full time. Touched by her sacrifice, Milind's feelings towards Prachi change considerably. He then does something totally uncharacteristic of him as a businessman: divides up the majority stake he has in the company between Ayesha, Prachi and their brother. Though both Milind and Prachi make sacrifices for each other owing to their growing affection (and, dare I say it, LOVE?) for each other, both of them misinterpret each others' actions. Milind thinks that Prachi took care of his father as a repayment for agreeing to her "contract marriage", and Prachi thinks Milind signing over the shares is a thank you for taking care of his father.
Meanwhile, Mallika's father (Milind's ex-boss) has shown interest in the hotel chain. Armed with a proposal for a complete rehaul, Milind, his ex-boss along with Mallika start working on building an all-inclusive restort. Mallika's presence in Milind's life causes some friction between Milind and Prachi, and though Milind doesn't give Mallika the time of day, Prachi is insanely jealous of Mallika's unbashful and obvious liking for her husband. This jealousy comes to head right around Milind and Prachi's second wedding anniversary. There's lots of reasons for celebration as A) Milind's father has made a full recovery, B) the resort has had a very successful opening, and Shah Hotels show positive signs of being at the top again. At this party, Mallika all but throws herself at Milind. A
Annoyed and jealous with rage, Prachi storms off the party into their hotel room (the party is being held at the resort). This was supposed to be the climax of the story, wherein Milind follows Prachi to their room and their confrontation leads to confessions of their feelings for each other, and ultimately their *ahem* consummation. They never return to the party đ, but the next morning when everyone's gathered for a late brunch, Milind and Prachi walk in hand-in-hand, smiling and laughing. Dispelling any doubts that MP are happily married, and would remain so forever, Mallika (though disappointed) makes a graceful exit back to wherever she came from. As the family returns home, Milind makes an announcement that him and Prachi would NOT be going back with the rest of the family, and that they were finally ready to take that honeymoon. The "last scene" involves MP walking along the beach, watching the sunset, their fingers interlaced. The Beginning. đ
That is all, my friends.
