Lots have been said about our trio, in fact even more had been said on our favourite pair. In this thread let us discuss d other officers. Not Asha, because she is a class apart and we have a thread on her too! Viren too another thread...

Let us discuss whatever u feel like on Freddy, Vivek, Tasha, Lavanya, Kaveri, Muskaan, Aditi, Devyana, Anoushka, Priyanka, Daksh, Sudhakar etc...

Okay let me start with my feelings on some of them!

Freddy
- He had been there since 13 years and we have seen a transition. Earlier the others hardly bothered about him. Somewhere around Aditi's time, he began to be noticed. Freddy loves the trio in his own way. Whenever Acp or Daya or Abhi falls in trouble, he becomes sombre and does anything to support them....This characteristic trait first came when Aditi came...He also became a jovial character. But nowadays he has become quite uncharacteristically foolish- which does not go with many of us...Singh Saab, please bring him back to what he was before Vivek came.

Vivek
- Well I dunno what to say about him. I partly blame him for making his senior appear foolish at times. But at the same time he is a dedicated officer. He knows stunts but BP Saab hasnt given him much scope...

Tasha
- Poor thing hasnt even much of a scope to showcase her talent... Except slapping, kicking, investigating in background etc...

Lavanya
- I know many ppl dont like her... But i feel her comic scenes with Freddy are awesome... I dunno, maybe u havent noticed it, but the two make a great pair for comic scenes... In fact I really like it wen the two share a screen, doing their investigation or something... Apart from being a ''Lady Daya'', Lavanya had much talent to showcase. But I prefer her scenes when Freddy is around...She was much better than Vivek-She didnt tease him much like Vivek....

Kaveri
- She was pretty alright. Her analysis power was good. But I didnt see much of physical action from her. She was effecient but somehow I cud not connect with her... I dunno y....

Muskaan
- I really really liked her a lot. I didnt care whether she was thin or whether she was rude to Devyaana. I know many ppl didnt like the way her character was ruined, but had I been in her shoes I wud have behaved in the same way! (No offense!) She was just awesome, had d right attitude and tho she was a junior, the others respected her. I liked her rapport with everyone. Physically and mentally I cud connect with her, I jst wish she didnt leave....

Anushka
- Though am not rather fond of the actress, the character was pretty gud. Strong overall, she was the one to hv helped out our Acp. Therefore the others were grateful to her. She had nearly all gud qualities of a female officer, but I feel she cud not match Asha's charisma. Muskaan and Aditi almost did though, but am not comparing....

Aditi- D actress is really gud! And so is d character. She was really a dedicated cop who won a place in the team's heart. Acp treated her like a daughter, and d way she even cud solve d mystery in a short period (Abhijeet in danger and following two epis). She even turned against her sister for adopting crime... She died a hero.....

Devyana- Uff (No offense to her fans) I actually felt irritated by her, dont know y. I better not discuss her otherwise ppl will b after my blood!!

Priyanka- Well we all know why she was here and had she been not against our Acp, she really wud have been a fantastic cop. But somehow she left early...

Daksh- Well. This character has his fans here so I dont want to discuss him too. But from the start I suspected him... Dunno y, but later my prediction became rather true... No offense meant.

Well, guys, I was wanting to open this thread.... Now u say....😳😃

I personally like all of them, except Lavanya... I really like her role but I dont like the actor, just wish she had some expression on her face and her voice. I felt she was one female officer who used to get along really well with Daya. Had she lasted longer I feel there could have been a nice camaraderie between them. Maybe I feel that way because they're both tough, but I always liked the conversations between them... I wish that role was played by someone else though.

And Ive said this time and again that Tasha needs more dialogues. Every one of the above female officers had power packed performances except Tasha. I really dont understand why....

And I have mixed feeling for Daksh.... I guess I didnt watch enough episodes with Daksh in it to be able to justify his role. So, I'll shut up about him 😳

And Freddy and Vivek... hmmm Freddy needs to sombre up a bit and Vivek needs more performance.

this was interesting.

I think lavanya was good as a character but I'm sorry to say that the actress was pathetic!! She was mainly there for slapping the female criminals and all like drilabh said "female daya".

Devyana well hmm... I think the actress did her best to portray her character. It was the character that was really irritating.

No matter what anyone says and people might even bash me for this but never really liked muskan so much. (Its just my opinion people). Not merely because she was too thin but she wasn't cut for cid that much. The actress alka verma was not my taste. There was one scene I remember from chasing the tatoo when inspector karan is in the hospital about to die when our trio was nearly crying, she didn't have any expression of sorrow on her face. She was only good at giving tough looks with her one eyebrow raised (which was really annoying) and I'm sorry to say that look on her face never really changed. She didn't seem to have any softness about her. Someone here compared her with asha, but if you ask me she doesn't even come in the same league as asha.

Tasha on the other hand - hmm ...I really like her...as a character and as an actress( who is improving by every episode) she has this innocence about her along with physical skills. Her respect for her senior officers really showed in sr inspector abhijeet when she bashed that stupid purvee for talking against abhi. However they really need to show her shining moment in some episode when the acp should say to tasha -you are one of my best officers.

vivek - he has completed 3 years in cid and is best known for his stunt work. I think one of his shining moments was when he jumped upon the suicide bomber in acp pradyuman giraftar We need to see more maturity from him however. He still appears to be in college

hmm interesting topic. Let me see, more than characterizations, these are my opinions. I have spoken a lot about Freddie earlier so I will skip him here.

VIVEK

He has been around for more than 3 years (will complete 4 years in Sept 2010) but I still don't really know him much. Earlier I used to hate it when he made fun of Freddie, made him look like a fool in front of all the seniors especially ACP. But then Freddie-Vivek relationship too has grown since he entered. I can sense that he respects Freddie at the same time. Now I am OK with it. I am still not really attached to this character like I was with Sudhakar (I see Vivek as Sudhakar's replacement) but still I would never want him to go. I don't want to lose him and definitely not for a new face.

TASHA

In June 2010 she will complete a year in CID. I don't know this character much. However the actress has shown a lot of improvement but still a lot is desired. The model walk has to go, sometimes I feel as if she jumped onto the CID set while walking on the ramp. But she is learning and improving that's good for the show.

ADITI

She came soon after Asha left and Asha is still so fresh in my mind (it's been 6 years), I still miss her. I could not accept or appreciate anyone who took her place. So it took too long for me to really accept her as part of the team and by the time I sort of did, unfortunately she died. She was a great cop but somewhere I still felt she was fragile, I mean there was something that was missing in her that I wanted to see in a Lady Cop.

DAKSH

I absolutely hate this character, I like Manav Gohil but this character got on my nerves. And my dislike for this character started since day one; the moment I saw him I did not like him for some reason. I always felt that CID's level started to fall since his entry. I don't know why but that is how I feel. He was so fickle minded, what did he want to achieve, I never really understood. I could never connect with him. The only thing I know about him is that he really loved his brother. But I wish this character was never created. And the last straw was his pathetic behavior with Daya Sir when the man died in custody and blame was put on him. After that there was no way I could ever like him. In the end he turned into a criminal and I felt all my dislike was justified.

MUSKAAN & ANUSHKA

Not really great but were not bad either. Actually the ladies who came after them were soooooooo bad that I wished these ladies had not left. Otherwise as individuals, I was never really impressed by them but nor was I disappointed. Nothing much that I could understand about their characters either.

LAVANYA, DEVYANA, KAVERI, PRIYANKA

How I wish I had some magical powers so that I could erase these characters from CID forever. Four women one worse than the other, each responsible for spoiling the status of women in CID. Asha and Niyati, even Anjalika (who may have been negative and not like by many including me but she was a strong woman) had taken it to a level and these ladies were so bad that women became none existent.

LAVANYA, even a stone can act better than this lady, dead pan expression all the time with equally dead dialog delivery. Since the time I heard her say "main nayee CID officer hoon sir" to ACP, I was praying for her exit. Thank God she is gone for good. When the actress could not perform to start with how can we know nuances of her character. DEVYANA, another irritating character, such a misfit in CID, how was she selected to be part of the team. The actress did what she was told to but the character was getting on my nerves. I wish she had never come. PRIYANKA, again I did not like anything I saw for the short duration she was there. Bad body language, trying too hard all the time. Her stay was so short that one can't understand her character much. KAVERI, again just a pretty face, unimpressive dialog delivery not sounding like a cop should. Never came across as a CID officer to me. However there was one scene where she acted really well when the criminals had hung ACP and the team was trying to revive him. She did not spoil that moment and I am very thankful to her. She won my heart there for that one moment.

Over all BAD BAD BAD casting and characterization decisions as far as these four ladies are concerned, I am so disappointed with Fireworks Team for making such characters and actors part of a show that will be remembered in the History of Indian Television.

I was seeing some 2006 episodes aired on Friday. I felt MUSKAAN would always ask question about situations and what led to the team in thinking in a certain way. You could see she wanted to learn as a detective, she wanted to grow. I have not seen it in any girl after her. Wish Tasha, was like that. Tasha is always only sayinf "magar humein pata kaise chalega....." Girl you are a detective, you need to find "kaise pata chalega...." why should her seniors always find those answers.
By the way is LAVANYA's real name - JIMMY KUNAL NANDA?

Yes....
About the discussion....my views...
Aditi - I didn't like her in her first episode, because she was trying to nail Abhijeet. 😡 And on one instance he even had to tell her 'ek CID officer ka duty kya hai - yeh tumhe mujhe bataane ki zaroorat nahin hai'.
But later, she was ok...was a dedicated officer, as was shown in 'Man Eater'. I didn't find the same dedication in anyone else (after Asha). But she was too delicate, as Prabha mentioned. Didn't look like a cop, but was better than the models who came after her.
Daksh, Priyanka - I just hate them. Don't want to talk about these 2.
Anuskha - Was ok...she got some chance to perform - in Letter from the past and Phool Chaman.
Muskaan - Probably stayed on for the longest duration after Asha. She was the first of the 'model' series. Didn't look like a cop at all....with her size 0 figure and flowing hair. But Abhijeet always seemed to have a 'soft-corner' for her. She was actually ok....but they turned her character into bad one in the last few episodes. They need not have done that.
Lavanya - I always get the feeling this lady didn't ever speak in CID. It was always someone else dubbing her dialogues. She was another model....a total misfit for the role.
Kaveri- Was ok....nothing notable.
Tasha - To me she seems better than Lavanya and Kaveri. She just needs to get more opportunity.
On the whole, I feel Asha was a better fit because there was no 'generation gap' between the actors Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastav and Ashwini Kalsekar. They could always sit and have a friendly conversation.
To some extent even Muskaan (Alka Varma) could get along with them, but there were situations where I have heard Abhijeet saying 'Sir...bacchi hai' etc about Muskaan to ACP. But the relation with Asha was not like that.
But Vaishnavi Dhanraj is probably way too young for them to have a 'friendly relation' and that age difference seems to be increasing now. If Vaishnavi were to leave today, they will bring a younger girl in her place...and it keeps increasing.

I agree, there can nebevr be a trio like Daya-Abhi-Asha now, the reason you mentioned. Best thing is to just get back Asha.

Exactly. Your analysis is 100% right. I really hated this character. I also have a reason to believe he was given more importance than Abhijeet sir. He was shown more in the title track and Abhijeet sir was hardly to be seen 😡.
