| He has made three films in the last five years: KAANTE [2002], MUSAFIR [2004] and ZINDA [2006]. Now, Sanjay Gupta, known for stylish fares, is all set to start as many as five new films and release them before 2007 ends, which means that he'll be churning out one film every four/five months. Another aspect that's sure to raise eyebrows is that Gupta has decided to entrust the directorial reins to other directors. Of course, Gupta will direct a project or two, but he hasn't confirmed any other director yet. "There's so much talent that needs to be tapped," Gupta informs me, "It's about time established production houses gave opportunities to the deserving candidates." Gupta is in the process of finalizing a few names. "Everything is in its infancy stages at this juncture. But one thing that I am going to ensure is, White Feather Films [his production outfit] will never make routine masala formulaic stuff. It's time to work on refreshingly different concepts and cast interesting actors." |
