Why do women mess everything up in shows?

I've always felt there was a slightly misogynistic treatment of women in serials. (Please don't misunderstand me. I am not saying there is a lot of it. In fact, there countless positive female characters to offset this negative treatment in every show). However, when women characters are shown to be bad, they are REALLY bad, and they are the ones who can cause all Hell to break loose.

Men like Jagmohan are evil but it but the women are catty and conspire (Shelly, Sheetal, Kanika to a lesser degree though).

In Choti Bahu, the chacha is really bad but look at the number of negative women (Vishaka, Amma, Mrilani). Yes, there are good women too (Vaishali, Dadi). But the masti the chacha and Arjun do is in no way near V + A + M.

Agle Janam again. The Thakur is bad, but his son Ranvijay is even worse. Ranvijay is capable of evil stuff as we've seen. But Sid and the servant ...giya (forgot her name) are wicked.

I can give you other examples as well. But I find that the problems that men cause pale in comparison to the Hell women unleash.

What do you guys think?
