CID case 'happy new year'

I switched on the TV to find Daya saying not to open any SMS on 31st December. The case's name was 'Happy New Year' and I later found out that it was originally aired on 27th December, 2007. CID has reached a place where someone has been killed by an explosion. Daya (or was it Abhijeet?) sends the photo of that man to ACP. He finds out that it was some hacker, Akash.

Meanwhile, some friends are eating in a hotel. One of them buys some girl cake. The girl sends him one SMS. He opens it. His cellphone blasts and he dies. The girl runs away and is almost hit by the CID van. CID reach there and realize that cellphones are bursting. 50 people have died. People have surrounded the cellphone office. Abhijeet and Daya talk with them. Suddenly, a SMS comes to the head. He opens it. A blast happens.

After this, I'd to switch off the TV for some work. What's the story after this? Please tell.

one thing I don't understand... why didn't ACP's phone burst when Daya sent him the message?

becuz daya's phone did not hv virus neither did acp's. alos they used different company's mobiles...

In the end, they catch the guy who spread the virus, true... but they didnt show us how they finally controlled the virus. Just catching the guy doesnt stop the virus from spreading right. People would still send "Happy new year" msgs and phones with the virus would still blast right?

No you did not miss anything. Like so many things this was left to our imagination. I would assume that now since its was found that if was the SMS thats causing the blast, all the mobile companies must have been instructed to block all SMSs and fight the virus.

Yeah maybe your right... although it's a very tough job to block all SMSs, that is probably what they ended up doing. I wish they had showed it though. Because when you watch the epi without assuming anything it obviously looks like a glitch.
