Saturday's final acts were supposed to be Masters Best... Terence gave Amar and Shakti acts that had Contemporary as that's his forte... Remo gave Punit an act with Hiphop as that's his forte... Why didnt Geeta give Binny and D some Classical mix?? Isnt that her forte, and not break or hiphop or the like?! Was it a blessing in disguise for them, or the other way?? Please do only healthy "discussions" here. Thank you.

Here's a DiscoSean21 video from YT... Now that's true talent!!!

I was gonna open up a thread like this, as i was wondering the same thing. When Geeta ma'am chreographed Mohiniattam(not sure about spelling), it was miiiindblowing, and that's how its supposed to be, as it is Geeta ma'am's forte. So i would be much happier if she gave binny some classical style and not some bad attempt at hiphop. In all of this i feel sorry for binny, i mean it was her last preformance, so it should have been a bang, and it wasn't and that was entirely Geeta ma'am's fault.

Geeta doesnt know Mohiniyattam, and so there were many flaws in Binny's act that day. But since none of the Masters nor the GM nor Helenji knew the basics of Mohiniyattam., Binny got saved. But I come from Kerala, the state where Mohiniyattam is from. So I want to clear this for those who like to learn about different dance forms. Binny's wide open smile - that's a flaw - the smile is supposed to be lady-like with devotion to Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna, and not the smile showing all 32 teeth.. Again, her postures were not accurate most of the time, and the stretches in Mohiniyattam are very clean, and Binny made mistakes in them too..

I like Binny a lot, and despite all the flaws, I still loved her act that day, as it was my dream come true too - to see Mohiniyattam on DID stage in the proper attire. Of course, it was the first one I saw done for a Hindi song too! Binny looked adorable in the outfit and like a mallu gal too, and it was one of the best ones I liked that day - along with Shakti's Kadhak. Punit's mistakes were pointed out since they all knew about the basics of Bharatanatyam, and in my eyes, both Punit and Binny were at the same level when it comes to technicality of the dance form...
