Barkha Bisht and Jasveer Kaur are good buddies in real life, but strangely they're working together for the first time only now. The actresses are bonding on the sets of STAR Plus prime time show Sajan Ghar Jana Hain.
Barkha plays the dacoit Devi Bhairavi, while Jasveer plays the role of a madam, in love with Ambika Bhavani.
"I was delighted when I came to know that Jassi (Jasveer) will be part of the show and it's great fun to spend time with her on the sets," says Barkha, "It's been two years that we have been close."
Asked how they met, Barkha said: "Through our dancing! We used to bump into each other at awards functions and then we did a dance reality show for a Bangla channel." Barkha says that the bonhomie that the girls share extends to the rest of the crew as well. "I'm quite comfortable with Varun Khandelwal, for instance, as well. In fact Jassi and I pull his leg all the time." She said Jasveer was a real livewire on the sets: "She either giggling or cracking jokes. She's a great entertainer to have around."
Speaking of her experiences on the show, Barkha said: "It's something very different. Something no television actress has ever shot for, because the shooting is intensely physical. I've even climbed a mountain for it, I rode horses carrying heavy swords and things like that. But we're actors and we need to do our best no matter what." So what's happening on the show now? "Devi Bharavi is aching to kill Amber's father (Dhaani's father in law) who is responsible for her mother's death, so let's see where that goes."
