Apparently the popular show 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' is all set to wrap up this April [ðŸ˜]wha Sources close to the channel reveal that the contract ends in the stated month. Consequently the show will draw its curtains unless the channel plans to extend it further.
So will protagonist Mona Singh finally work on her first Bollywood project which she signed last year? "I did sign Bobby Pushkarna's film last year. I will start shooting for it some time this year. But I don't know when. You have to ask Bobby when he's planning to begin," she says.
And does she have other serials lined-up after 'Jassi…'? "I have been shooting for 'Jassi…' round the clock. Right now I can't think of anything beyond the show. I haven't signed any other project because Sony has been giving me regular opportunities to be part of different shows. I have also been hosting awards and beauty pageants. I have shown my talent to viewers."
When Pushkarna is quizzed about the film with Mona he explains, "I signed Mona last year. The script is ready and the cast has been finalized. But Mona has her commitments with 'Jassi…' As soon as the show ends in April this year, I will start shooting. Of course, that's after Mona takes a month-long break."
Bobby reasons what made him sign Mona, "I am traveling most of the time between London and Mumbai. And I had never seen a single episode of 'Jassi…' My writer suggested that I watch at least one. And that's how I decided to cast Mona for the role. She is brilliant."
Bobby, who has produced films like 'Page 3' says that his film with Mona will be woman-oriented, "I plan to do experimental films." He refuses to divulge further details.
A keen Mona adds, "The film has no naach gaana. I am quite excited about the script."
