Hey guys,
I feel the competition in DID2 is no where near the competition of DID1. DID1 was INTENSE! Down to the last minute it was very hard to place which of the final dancers (Jai, Siddesh, Salman, Alisha) were to win. Im not a fan of all four, but that doesnt stop me from saying all four were versatile, full of expressions, energy, grace... I was content with any of the four winning.

This season the forum is basically split into two fan groups:
- Dharmesh will win
- Shakti will win

Are Binny, Amar, Punit not competition enough?

----
My Point of View:
Binny is not as strong as the other four contenders. I commend her for trying something new while not being a trained dancer, but I feel she is not as strong as the other dancers and lacks in technicalities. Her expressions, although most disagree with me, I feel lack as even throughout her dances she is seen smiling.
Punit is a strong dancer in my opinion but I lack connectivity with him. Sometimes I can't connect to his dance, which brings down the whole act for me but at other times he seems mindblowing. I would say it's because of Remo's repetitive choreography. His expressions however, and grace are mindblowing.
Amar is very strong for an untrained dancer. Graceful, willing to always try something new, but at times his lack of self confidence would show. He is getting better though, as is his self confidence. He is no doubt the most improved contestant, and very versatile.
Dharmesh, I feel excels in his own field. I love him when it comes to Hip Hop, etc, but no other performances of his excite me. He lacks in grace, and is often weak in group performances as his partner's outshine him. He lacks expression.
Shakti, in my opinion, is a strong dancer. She is very flexible, and although I thought she is only good at temporary she has proven to be versatile, whether it be aerial acts, popping and whacking, hip hop, etc. Her expressions are amazing.

I'll definitely definitely agree. There is more tension this year amongst masters and contestants, but there was definitely more competition last year. Last year, you actually did NOT know who would win. This year, it's like I can bet my one of my hands. Sad, but true!

Amongst it all, I really feel sad for contestants like Amrita, Kruti and Amar, who deserve more, so much more!

I agree earlier all these dancers were dancing to some great routines...were all so pumped up...but now also the passion seems to be lacking...unfortunately friday's and saturday's performances didn't seem like the final stages performances like it was last year...mostly i attribute it to mediocre choreography than anything else bcoz these r the same guys who have performed brilliantly earlier so what's wrong now...there was nothing wow about their performances on both the daysđŸ„±đŸ„±đŸ„± Here r my views about the final 5...no offence meant to anyone😛
Binny: Even i think despite being untrained she's a very graceful dancer...though her hip-hop routine always seems a bit wierd😆...but overall she's a nice dancer...was more pleasure to watch in the beginning rounds off late seems to be lacking the confidence with which she use to perform
Dharmesh: Showed the maximum promise and was the most praised in the auditions but with every performance his flaws are coming out...excellent at his own style...but does lack expressions many a times and seems quite uncomfortable while performing other dance routines though has tried to perform varied dance forms which is commendable👏
Shakti: Ok started off with contemporary which was great to see in the beginning but then was a bit boring...then started attempting various other styles and has given some really great performances this season...very graceful dancer...great expressions...technically sound dancer...won't call her versatile though but surely deserving enough to win it👏
Amar: Again an untrained dancer...unbelievable to see him performing contemporary with such ease that too with shakti who's trained in such dance form...has show a lot of variations and given some really good performaces...but still sometimes seems to be under-confident...needs to realise his potential soon and stop under-estimating himself😉
Puneet: Ok like majority says great contemporary dancer...with great expressions...but still never been able to connect with his performances...also not that versatile...and don't even remember many of his performances now Lucky that he was the last one in remo's group guaranteed place in final bcoz of this reason😆 which is wrong imo

@a.b - i completely agree with you about punit.

I feel that Shakti and Dharmesh deserve to be in the finale. They are not there for how zee has portrayed them to us. We are the ones to judge right? So, their performances have been consistent atleast to have made such a huge fan base.

Binny's selection for top 4 only makes it look like she's better than Amrita, Kruti and shows she's the only female competition for Shakti. Thats blown out of proportion!

Amar should've been given the opportunity to be in the finale, in replace of Punit.
Amrita or Kruti would have been a better candidate than Binny.
[just my opinions]

In that sense, there would be more entertainment, suspense, and above all..mad competition between ALL 4 contestants, not just 2 of them =]

I totally agree with you.. Last year every contestant (Sid, Alisha, Jai and Salman) had a probability that each could win. But this year we all know that Binny is not going to win and either is Punit. The winners are predictable. It is either going to be Shakti or Dhamesh.

yes definitely, though they have been claiming that this season was better, but the fact is the last season was much more better!! The choreography was fresh, the contestants were very good, and the show overall was very unpredictable.
This year lacked in all departments!

I don't think either of the 4 really deserve the win, and 2 out of 4 don't even deserve to be in the top 4.

All the 4 remaining had lots of exposure and publicity (yes ALL 4). I don't care who had more and who had less (Punit didn't have too much but enough especially with the whole MJ Band thing that I don't think he deserved), point is they had enough publicity to give people the chance to connect with them.

Kruti, Amar & Amrita, the 3 BEST DANCERS (IN MY OPINION) barely had any exposure hence people didn't get a chance to connect with them much. If they did, then I could easily see either 3 of them getting that Sunheri Topi that they deserve the most.

Punit & Binny are very lucky to be in the top 4 because I do not think they deserve to be there. Punit was lucky to be with Remo that he has to be in the finale to represent him (Shashank should've been there instead). Binny is lucky to have some VERY VERY powerful performances that brought her far enough to connect with people, but she is not consistent (could be Geeta's fault, but who knows).

Shakti & Dharmesh --> To be honest, all the unnecessary drama and bashing and comparison that has been going on with these 2 has gradually made me not want either of them to win! They both are AMAZING dancers in their own style, but I am sorry, I do NOT think they have excelled in any other dance form. I don't care WHAT the masters say to Shakti or Dharmesh or who gets that MJ band, or the POTD awards or grand salutes, they are not that versatile. The hype for them has gone buckwild that people tend to forget that there are other contestants competing, not just Shakti & Dharmesh. I strongly feel that Shakti & Dharmesh both have had the upper hand advantage. Shakti because she is with Terrance, hence getting the better end of the performances (yeah yeah people will say Terrance is not bias, but with Shakti he is, otherwise Kruti would have still been here) and Dharmesh because he wowed everyone from the auditions and people just can't except that he is not that perfect in all the other performances (and of course Geeta is always bias with him too saying he is always perfect).

Whatever the case is, this years Grand Finale is nothing extravagant in terms of contestants. Yes, they are all great and Shakti & Dharmesh deserve to be there somewhat but sorry, not the best (no way).

If I have offended anyone with my opinion on these contestants (Ishan [Binny fan], Raju [Punit fan], Ankit & Mihir [Dharmesh fans], and SAS & others [Shakti fans], please forgive me, but I am just sharing my point of view)

Best of luck to Amar, Kruti & Amrita --> They will go VERY far in life!
