I feel the competition in DID2 is no where near the competition of DID1. DID1 was INTENSE! Down to the last minute it was very hard to place which of the final dancers (Jai, Siddesh, Salman, Alisha) were to win. Im not a fan of all four, but that doesnt stop me from saying all four were versatile, full of expressions, energy, grace... I was content with any of the four winning.
This season the forum is basically split into two fan groups:
- Dharmesh will win
- Shakti will win
Are Binny, Amar, Punit not competition enough?
----
My Point of View:
Binny is not as strong as the other four contenders. I commend her for trying something new while not being a trained dancer, but I feel she is not as strong as the other dancers and lacks in technicalities. Her expressions, although most disagree with me, I feel lack as even throughout her dances she is seen smiling.
Punit is a strong dancer in my opinion but I lack connectivity with him. Sometimes I can't connect to his dance, which brings down the whole act for me but at other times he seems mindblowing. I would say it's because of Remo's repetitive choreography. His expressions however, and grace are mindblowing.
Amar is very strong for an untrained dancer. Graceful, willing to always try something new, but at times his lack of self confidence would show. He is getting better though, as is his self confidence. He is no doubt the most improved contestant, and very versatile.
Dharmesh, I feel excels in his own field. I love him when it comes to Hip Hop, etc, but no other performances of his excite me. He lacks in grace, and is often weak in group performances as his partner's outshine him. He lacks expression.
Shakti, in my opinion, is a strong dancer. She is very flexible, and although I thought she is only good at temporary she has proven to be versatile, whether it be aerial acts, popping and whacking, hip hop, etc. Her expressions are amazing.
