yes, money is the single most important driving factor in selecting singers, actors, storyline etc. From that angle, replacing sonu with Vinit makes perfect make sense. But u also have to remember that the producers are looking for high revenue and ultimately a healthy profit where
Profit = Revenue - Cost (from economy 😉 ).
So if cost goes down, great but at the same time if revenue goes down, that pulls down the profit. So, using Sonu's voice may cost the production team a lot of money but the revenue earned must be pretty good to earn a healthy profit (makes sense, otherwise sonu wouldn't be in the industry).
now coming to Vinit, I said this earlier, Vinit's voice is undergoing a transition. Once his voice fully develops, then it will be more convinient to assess his real potentials as a playback singer. Even Sonu started pretty late with a completely developed voice.
