Deepika Padukone is Sony camera brand ambassador
Will invest Rs 50 crore towards marketing activities for Cyber Shot digital cameras

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Sony India announced that it has signed up Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone as its new brand ambassador for promoting its Cyber Shot digital cameras. While making the announcement here today, the company said it will invest Rs 50 crore towards marketing activities with Deepika, which will include TV commercials, print campaigns, and shop-front display.
"We are aiming to uphold our number one position in the digital still camera category with a target market share of 45 per cent by the end of this financial year," said Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony India, who addressed the media at the function.
"We were looking for a brand ambassador, whose personality could mirror this experience and give it a materialistic form. Deepika is a free spirited bubbly young girl, who at the same time is extremely talented and a professional," he added.
