What's about the whole 'elite' thing?

I don't know about others, but I've been classified time and again as being an "elite" in this forum. Isn't it my personal right to ask why? Why am I an elite? Because I prefer expressing myself in English AND Hindi and not just Hindi, or because I cannot understand some of the rude comments made by some forum members? Because I don't like Dharmesh who can't speak a proper word of English, but because of his unappealing dance to me, or because I love Shakti who speaks good English but whom I love because of her excellent dancing skills? Because I don't stay in some village in India but live on a foreign island? Is that why am an elite? 😕

This has been getting to me since a few weeks now, but I preferred remaining quite. But I think it's just getting a bit more than too much. Could you guys please stop it? I still eat like you do, still walk on the ground and still breath air! (Inspired from Devdas 😆) I still like Kunwar who comes from a village I didn't even know the name of, and I still adore watching Remo who couldn't speak English am sure a few years down the line in his life. I like them for reasons that are mine. Just because they do not coincide with some of yours around here does NOT make me an elite!

By the way guys, before using words, check the definition of the word first! When you say elite, it means you're envious of the "elites". Are you really? Or do you just love contradicting yourself? One side you hate things that we like, and on the other hand, you're envious? 😆

Yes I do not like Dharmesh, not until now, and the way things are going, nor do I find myself liking him very soon. But I've liked Siddhesh, Punit, Prince, Bhavna (1), Kishore, Amrita, who have all not been in Terence's team. Yet if am an elite for you guys, well so may it remain! 👍🏼

Sneha I don't think anyone has the right to label a member of the forum whom they do not even know.
I don't think there is much wrong with being 'elite', it's just that when it is used as a form of abuse then it isn't very nice.

Just because someone lives in a village, it doesn't make them uneducated and illiterate and just because someone comes from a big city doesn't make them elite.
If me and you really were elite then we wouldn't.be watching this show to start off with..we would say we don't wish to watch people from small cities like Kunwar and Alisha. (who btw are my favourites)

My dislike for dharmesh is purely because of his dancing, lack of expressions, lack of versatility etc, not because he is a high school drop out or because he isn't as educated as me. What a load of crap..its sad people still think about these things when voting and when they wish to put others down.

Sneha I think the fact that it's been brought up so many times is evidence that people are jealous of you and the way you write and express your opinions. Take it as a compliment.. ;)
No-one has the right to sit behind a computer screen and talk utter crap and BS about someone they do not know.

Yeah there are some people who classify some others as 'ELITE'..Well, what else..some people support Dharmesh because he is from Gujarat, while few others support him because of his lack of english speaking skills. Dancers ko kaun support karega??😆 Well, I dont see any contestants speaking in English on DID..All of them speak normal hindi. If by Elite, people mean that we support Shakti because she has no issues with English language,I can only pity those people!!
Well, I dont think Kunwar speaks great english..or atleast they have not given as much attention to his speaking skills. But, I still like him.

Well here are few definitions of the word ELITE as used in this forum:

1. You will be called as an Elite if you don't praise below average performance of Dharmesh.

2. You will be called as an Elite if you praise 'real dance'.

3. You will be called as an Elite if you don't do aarti to Maa.

4. You will be called as an Elite if you like Shakti's performance.

5. You will be called as an Elite if you say TL is the best choreographer in DID.

6. You will be called as an Elite if you say that its time that Binny should leave.

7. You will be called as an Elite if you fail to find any expression in D's face and write the same in forum.

8. You will be called as an Elite if you say the public voting is dissapointing and your opinion is different from the "Public At Large".

9. You will be called as an Elite if you say that the lady mentor in DID is inspired by other choreographies.

10. You will be called as an Elite if you say that its high time that Maa should me replaced by some didi.

well sneha its very simple, the thing is they want to justify their taste and preference in comparison to shakti fans, and in order to make dharmesh seem rightful winner of the show, they feel the need to put down shakti and her fans.... dharmesh is popular with the common man and aam junta, and we r classified as outsiders, "elites" who think they are all that and the best just because we choose to like shakti who can speak english (even though that is not why we like her) and because we try to find out more about dance and try to base our reasoning and justification on dancing skills. so at this point they start with "who are you to judge dharmesh on his dance and expressions, trying to act like an expert.... the common man likes dharmesh so who are you to say he is not good" and to those who make this argument and ask who we are.... "we are viewers, just like your common man and aam junta and we have all the right to state our opinion on this forum without being judged on a personal level"

@Sneaha, I believe in one thing...when u r in forum, write what u feel is right and not worry for people waiting to bash u or ur favoruites...let them do what they want, if that bothers u, best way is to ignore what they reply to ur post and they wont come ur way....if we become reactive and write, and read their posts and feel sad, that kind of makes us feel more bad....not replyign to their posts doesnt make them winner or doesnt make what they said is right...we all know what is right and what is just made up/hype...
Believe me Elite is good, its classy...may be they call u elite as ur posts are fair, u dont bash others, u are fan of one contestant but dont unnecessariyly go and write bad abt other contestants who are not ur favs.....thats classy...
same thing with contestants...Punit, Shakti, no drama of whatsoever....no excuses...they dont get more footage....so they are elite....Binny is in same cateogry except that once there was drama abt her sickness and next day she was like 200% alright...

Sahana----If we are not allowed to judge someone who is in limelight and is exposing himself to public scrutiny, who gives the right to this self-proclaimed judges to judge US? Express your views and defend your favorites. Not everyone is expected to like Dharmesh and not everyone is supposed to like Shakti. But saying that a person should be voted because he is from the neighbor hood is lame and unfair to people who are good dancers but are in a better economic condition. Money, regionalism does not matter, only dance matters.
If they want to defend their favorites, defend their dance alone, making slimy remarks and bashing someone personally on the forum in uncalled for.
I would not give my vote to someone on sympathy basis.

but the ridiculous thing and the one that annoys me the most is the phrase dharmesh connects with the common man... and shakti or punit connect with the elites..... they make it sound like there is something abnormal about liking those two.... as if shakti or punit fans are aliens, a small minority group, whose opinion maybe of majority on the forum but has no consequence on the voting, they even go so far as to say, that say whatever you want but whatever you guys think wont change anything... well my dears if it wont change anything and wont make a difference to dharmesh then why do you guys try so hard to argue with us, and try to justify your choice, just go on liking your fav, and leave us be to appreciate and like our fav contestant in peace
