So we are already 4 months into this year, and there have been many big releases with ups and downs...

I've been kinda on and off with tamil movies as all my attention is towards Hindi now..
so the movies ive watched soo far are:
Aayirathil Oruvan
Thamizh Padam
Kutty
Theeratha Vilaiyattu Pillai
unfortunately thats abt it
and my analysis on these movies, they were not as great as expected. Aayirathil Oruvan was a much-delayed release. It has an interesting story in the first half, but the second half really dragged and got really confusing, especially with the Old Tamil that was being spoken. Thamizh Padam was pretty funny, and I think that was the only one I enjoyed. Kutty was an honest attempt, and I think Dhanush and Shriya did a good job. But since i already watched the original in Telugu, it did not really live up to expectations for me. And as for Theeratha Vilaiyattu Pilla, I loved the story line, but i thought the ending was rather too abrupt.
but as for the movies i wanna watch are:
Paiya
Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya..
any other good recommendations? My mom's going crazy without having any tamil movies to watch

I recenly saw Angadi Theru, its a must watch movie if u likes reality based movies. 👏👏The story line is very strong and the actors have done a brilliant job like those roles was written for just them. Music is also good so you wont be dissapointed.
Ayurathil oruvan was a nice movie. It was long but yet Selvaragavan had the gut to try out something different..have to agree i didnt understand much of the sangam Tamil they spoke but then i had my dad who translated to me😆 Loved karthis role there..he was funny😆😆 music was great too from GV Prakash😛
Vennai Thandi varuvaya - a nice romantic movie of the recent times i have seen😛 Simbu was so natural with no overdose and trisha was equally good. GMs magic was there and ARRs songs simply rocked😎
Goa - it was a funny movie...it was a typical venkat P movie...music was aslo nice. Enjoyed it..esp that gay track which was kind of new to tamil cinema😆 Ending was kind of 😲 and😆😆
Jaggubahi - a action movie..a typical KSR movie but the surprise element here was our heroine Shriya acting as Saraths daughter...instead of as his pair which was interesting. Gounder was saraths sidekick was good to see after a long time...its about a father trying to connect with his estranged daughter😛 Didnt regret watching this as the movie was changing from past to present so it kept the viewers glued😛
I saw Theeratha villaithau pillai. I think i was very dissapointed with YSRs music there but the movie would have been okay if the heroines could act more and less of show off and the ending with sneha was weird like u wrote above😕 😆
Now I wanna watch Paiyya...songs rocks😎..one of my fav actress and morever its a karthi movie😳

Alot of ppl have been talking abt Angadi Theru. Also heard something abt Jayam Ravi regrettin not doing it. Maybe I'll check it out..
I really wanna watch VTV soo bad...love the songs like soo much, eespecially mannipaya and hosanna...
Aayirathil Oruvan was an honest attempt, and selvaraghavan does deserve praise for that..
Goa and Jaggubhai I'm yet to watch. The gay track is new to tamil cinema i guess, but I heard the movie was disappointin too. Jaggubhai I may check out too.
TVP couldve been better...the only heroine that actually stuck out was Neetu Chandra..the other two looked soo lost
PAIYA!!! Karthi and Tamannah pair is soo gonna rock. Ive heard good reviews and im dyin to watch it
