Manava Naik, last seen in Teen Bahuraniyan, has utilised her free time working in three Marathi films and two are work under progress.
"One film is due for release in the first week of April. Titled Khsana Vishranti , it is a youthful romantic movie. The second film titled Sixer will be released in May. It is about six characters working in a shack in Goa," says the petite actress, adding, "And the other is a Mahesh Manjrekar production."
Talking more about her films, she says, "In the five films I have done so far I have played five different characters. In my five years of television I could never do that. So from that perspective, I am enjoying films a lot," smiles Naik.
Does she miss television? "Yes and no. I do miss the work there. But the schedules were too hectic. I feel after working in television for five years, I had achieved a creative satisfaction going beyond which was difficult. I had played one of the leads in Teen Bahuraniyan and I reached a point where it was getting a bit boring," she says.
So does that mean, is it good bye to television? "If it gives me the variety films offer, why not?" she signs off.
