Don't be startled to see the suave Parmeet Sethi in the doodhwala get-up. That's just a disguise for his latest serial DON aka Detective Onkar Nath. Parmeet plays a wily sleuth, nailing criminals and scoring brownie points against the baddies. Speaking to Express Newsline on Friday, the gentleman while admitting to being flattered by being given the title role in the serial, adds, "All the roles that I have done so far have been central. Whether in Junoon, Kurukshetra or Dastaan. It's only in the last two years that I have been taking on characters that were not central but that was part of a strategy to enhance visibility and do different characters. But yes, this is the first title role that I am playing. But then it also makes me feel responsible for the success or failure of the venture. If you succeed you get the accolades and all the shabashi for it but God forbid if it does not work, then you also take the flak for it. Yes, Don is not just another show on my body of work. It will be a turning point," he admits.

But what about the glam element? Where's the eye candy? "Main Hoon Na. With me in the show what would the females want for," he jests, "as for the men, the situations in the serial make for plenty of opportunity to add the glam quotient. Just keep watching." So, will we be seeing him in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin again? "Let me say this categorically. You will never see me in Jassi again. The serial has gone down the gutter. It has been reduced to total crap and what is sad is there is no logical reason for that to have happened. I don't know what went wrong with it and now I don't care also. It is really sad, but I am out of it." (whoa....ALOT of harsh words there......😭😭😭) Does this mean we'll see less of him on the big screen too? "You will see me with Amitabh Bachchan in Ravi Chopra's Babul whre I will be doing a negative role similar to the one I did in DDLJ. Watch out for it." So, has all the dancing in Nach Baliye translated to a lifelong interest in matching steps?z "When I finished Nach Baliye I swore I would only dance now for my son's wedding which should give me twenty years to practice! I don't enjoy dancing for cinema. So you could say it's really not being put to good use." Ask Parmeet what makes him and wife Archana Puran Singh click and he says the visible on-screen chemistry between them is because of the fact that they are on the same creative plane. "We share the same humour, like the same kind of films,enjoy the same type of serials. So we are alike in that respect and every action from one of us gets an equal and proportionate reaction from the other."

OH MY GOD 😕 !!!!!!!That was a bit mean wat he said 😡 !!!!!!although it was d truth and yah i realize the truth hurts but he cud have made it a lil nicer as he was once upon a time a part of the show.... 😭

wooooooooooooohaaaaaaaaaaaaa that was tooooooo harsh and what about zillions of his fans who want him on the show for jassi and armaan's sake

but truth always hurts

and what he has said is absolutely true

but one cameo apperance is all that is needed by raj in the end hope he does that.

i wish our lead pair also understand and put the foot down as its not working well with the ppl who love them
