Future of DMG and Star One?

Hi guys,

Is this the end of youth based love and career/college based entertainment?

Will Star One triumph? Will Star One neglect current youth based shows as they've diversified?

Will the new shows generate Trps and will Star One enter the TRP race and give competition?

Will Star One lose its young audiences? Will you lose interest/gain interest in Star One as a channel? Is this the end for you?

Your opinion on this change? Do you like it/not like it and why? Will Star One continue with romantic backdrops?

Will Star One continue to introduce great love stories and couples?

In my opinion, if these current shows manage to get decent Trps for the channel and stay hyped, they will survive. If the new shows fail to deliver, our shows will be top priority for Star One. I reckon star one will be given a cold response at the start but if these shows deliver interesting stories and lots of drama, they will eventually pick up on TRPs. I believe that Star One WILL give a cold shoulder to current shows if the new shows do wonders and will close down the shows with the reason that they are not generating enough trps for the channel like star plus did to ekta kapoor shows once other shows became more profitable. I was expecting this change a long time back so I'm not surprised or scared. For me if good storylines and wonderful Jodis are offered, then I'm more than happy. Star one won't change for me. However if DMG and MJHT end, I won't bother to switch to star one again. WBU?

If you like this change, what type of shows (currently/previously on other channels) would you like on star one. I'd want something like Kitani Mohabbat Hai and KDMHMD-do see the love stories from these shows if you haven't already yet (they won't disappoint) and Bhaskar Bharti (not family based, more youth based), Sasural Genda Phool as this is a sweet family drama

Please do post I'd love to hear your opinion! Here is my attempt to convey something else than AR-SR concerns! No Bashing for my well being or I'll go nuts

Oh and finally my exams are over so you'll see me a lot on DMG forum for the next 2 weeks

yeh DMG is the only indian show I watch..so if this ends...yes I will definitely stop watching Indian tv all together...coz that is mainly as much as I watch LOL...

and yeh..I know...we all have the easter break LOL...2 weeks off skool (well...i only get 1 coz of stupid uni) but anyways....i m excited abt the sydney easter show LOL....thought I would share my excitement with u😆

do you know why soap operas like pavithra ristha and bidaai has always rocked with very very hight TRPs?

because the audience is mainly the whole family. it is targerted for the whole family and the ladies just love the soap operas...

this type of soap operas, it is hard for the audience (the aunties and mamijis) to shake off their addiction to watching the soap operas so no matter what, they dont stop watching....

while youth-tageted shows like DMG, is different...

unlike the ladies, the youth always use their minds...

if they dont like it they dump it....

so, when the audience (youth) dont like the track, they forget about the show....

so, that is why shows like DMG, MJHT are in danger if they are not siding with audience's choice...

that is why the CVs of DMG have to think over their choices and do what the audience whats the most............😉

Indeed that's needed but don't you think if these dramatic family dramas succeed, then that would be doom for DMG? Just my concern because this has happened with tujh sang and kis desh before. Star one is sort-of handled by Star Plus any way so who knows lets see

well DMG isnt rly a youth show anymore. i think they are trying to make it more of a saas bahu show to get a wider range to viewers. but in that case i wud much rather the show end. MJHT is still staying true to being a youth show n i dont think thats going anywhere

most likely Star One is changing
now it has Geet and the other new show coming and those don't seem like youth based
so maybe Star One is getting in the TRP race
