okay! enough of my sensibility and enough giving sensible replies!😡😡
😡

according to my scientific istincts🤓

riddhima getting insane is directly proportional to sid and armaan going insane😆
sid ridz and armaan going insane is directly proportional to interns dr. shashank, padma and dr. keerti going insane 😆
they all going insane is going to make whole sanjeevani going insane😆
whole sanjivani going insane is directly proportional to sister stella going to be in her maddest best😡😆😆😆
and finally the whole audiences will go insane.😆😆
😆😆 so the whole point and one thing which is consistent according to the given logics is insanity.
cvs actually know how to make people insane!🤣

its sad!!!!!!!!!!
d situation out here is really sad
cannot believe where v started d journey wid dmg and where it has come 2 today
i mean wat r u ridhima
u were supposed 2 b a strong character
someone ppl cud idolize
but wat hav u become
u r weak,indecisive,helpless,pressurised,oppressed,trapped in dis world
will u evr do something 4 urself again
wud u ever be able to exress wat u actually feel
wud u ever be able 2 stand up 4 urself
or will u continue 2 do ur rona dhona
depict urself as a total bechaari
i mean here is a woman who is being pushed from every side
and she just lets it happen
her whole life depends upon wat her father, her lover and her husband decide
she has no opinion of her own
seeing her i feel so sad
i wonder if something like dis ever happened to me
wud i take all dis???????????
never
but she does
she epitomises the poor state of women in our society to the exterme
cvs if ur listening
we watch thids show bcoz it was a change from d regular rona dhona
it was for the youth
but if this is d message u send to us girls to just agree to what others say
let others decide for us
and never stand up 4 ourselves
then i am sorry
sorry 4 this show, for you and for ridhima

oh just by d way, ridhima had also sent armaan to jail for a false claim of abettment to suicide for his ex girlfriend

...And I am late...!! SORRY Ani...got caught up with exam prep for a bit...speaking of which, this topic is such an amazing coincidence...because I've been brushing up on Feminist interpretations of some of the texts I have...and this is one of the areas they raise questions over...what should determine the trajectory of a woman's life? Conventional socially accepted norms of conduct, or individual free will?

Riddhima...as so many have already said before me, the archetypal damsel in distress, one way or another...and this is her in her most damsel-y mode...you've put it so brilliantly already, I can only reiterate your point...the whole alleged rape accusation sequence I could not bring myself to watch, and will not comment, therefore...but if it was Shashank's idea of a solution, then I so agree with each and every point you've made in that regard...forget right or wrong, I don't see how marriage comes within the bracket of a solution at all...
As for Sid-Armaan, I know that the choice isn't easy for her...but any solution depends first on the approach to the problem, more often that not...and Riddhima is completely at sea right now...which is in part understandable, in terms of the initial shock bit, and in part quite annoying...because if you're still in love with Armaan, and you choose to stick to your marriage because of obligation, then well, that's quite an insult to the idea of love itself, in some ways...but that isn't the point here...like you said, if she picks Sid out of love, I would find it hard to digest as an AR fan, but definitely easier to understand and identify with as a woman...it is the 21st century, and I'd like to believe that free will has alot more to do with the decisions one makes, within or outside the realm of social propriety...I am not denying that social norms of conduct still do circumscribe the existence of many women in India today...but from where I stand, that is the kind of wordview we should be trying to leave behind...as a medium that reaches the masses, then, what message should a show be putting across? If they still advocate the idea of social obligation trumping individual emotion and freedom of choice in women, then well, I can only see it as a kind of modernised form of decadence...which is what most Indian soaps do these days, and it would be sad to see DMG taking the path more heavily trodden, as a convenient and socially expedient way out of a tricky storyline...
Cheers! 😊

Ahh age old FEMINISM and it's brutal portrayal on television! And lets be glad that we are not dealing with shows on Color , God that channel makes my blood boil and gives me hypertension! Anyways I will leave that for some other day, now coming to DMG. What made me happy as a DMG viewer in spite of sub standard story line and the "new twist and turns" DMG has tried to portray women of this generation as intelligent, ambitious, and independent. Characters like Anjali, Keerti and Muskaan made me happy as they reflected strong career women but Riddhima's character has been a big let down for me as a viewer, and more infuriating has been the responses seen around us. I hate to be preachy so I am not going to elaborate on it as I firmly believe in the theory "To each it's own" so I will give all young women benefit of doubt and move on.
God knows I love AR and Armaan but why must Riddhima pick between Armaan and Sid, why must she always be complete if a man is by her side, if she accused Sid of rape and those pictures were leaked then why must you marry? Where is the logic here? Why did Shashank force her daughter into marrying someone she has nothing in common, and as you mentioned in your post has Sid been Shanki's son, would he have forced him to marry Riddhima just because a few pictures were leaked.
Why can't Riddima be shown happy as a carrier oriented woman and when love happens it happens. It is sad because to this day at parties my mom gets asked, 'So you daughter will not go into Surgery right? Because what will she do being a surgeon when she won't have time for raise a family?" I get so mad at these comments because no man is ever asked that question, if a male medical student says I want to become a surgeon people say, "wow good luck keep up the hard work" and when a female medical student says something similar, the usual response is "young lady as much we would like to tell you that you can have it all, it is not true there are many sacrifices in this profession, are you ready to say good bye to your family?" Anyways sorry for my rant, it's just that I hate that I have to justify my career choice to people and offer explanation as for the choices I have made.
To Ridz, dear get some courage quit being a door mat make some gutsy decision for once and give all women a chance to be proud of you.
Side note: Very proud of Mahi Way in a twisted way, they show a girl trying to live life on her own terms, I mean she does get played in the end by a "good" looking guy, she at least has the guts to live her life on her own terms and so what if she failed!
