javed akhtar is soo up himself and is soo biased towards his old generation so i relly wanted to know do people relly consider him the best lyricist as i personally love prasoon joshi, gulzar and sameer

Gulzar ji any day for me. He is one of the best lyricist in Indian cinema, no offense Javed ji is good but he can in no way compare to Gulzar. "Tere Bina zindagi se koi" "Musafir hoon yaaron" the songs from Anand...how can you compare!!

I love both Gulzar and Javed Akhtar, can we choose two? 😆 I think both of them have written some classic poetry in their career, and some really great songs. So yeah, both Javed and Gulzar!

Gulzar started his career before JA. JA has nostalgic feelings about old days...it is natural.

Among the names I like Gulzar and Javed Akhtar...both write amazing lyrics.

Sameer has been a mediocre lyricist. Prasoon Joshi is promising lekin abhi unka career shuru hi hua hai..so let's see!
