Dilshad deserved to be in top 5

or infact he should have been in top 3, based on singing alone. Maine purane episodes nahin dekhe they....and I saw them today. Kya gaata hai, Dilshad...bilkul dil se. Aap log kya sochte ho Dilshad ke baare mein?

Dilshad was OK, but not top five material.

Dilshad was good, but Sharib was better. Would love to replace Himani or even Vinit with Sharib.

ya. he sings nicely, but he has a very... gumsum voice. its nice in some songs, but because of that he's not very versatile.

he was very different from other singers, he had a pain in his vioce. but because of his breath problem he couldn't make it.I hope he sing in the future. I think in top 5 there Should be Vinet- SHarib-DEbojet-Hema and Nihira.My favourite singer is Sharib, but he is not in the show.

He is good with mainly sad songs (he can stretch his voice..the pain..), but otherwise lacks vibrancy and exuberance in his singing, so I think his scope is limited in playback singing for films. I am not missing him in final 5.

Well, the show is intended only for playback singers. I dunno why they introduced all that performance and stuff. Remember the old SRGM and SRGMP? It was WAY better. They found some awesome talents in Mohd.Vakil, Parthiv Gohil, Bela, Ronkini, Shoma etc. Especially Mohd. Vakil. Fantabulous singer. He was only 19 when he won the contest. The judges were Naushad, Anil Biswas, Pt. Jasraj, Jagjit Singh, etc...a host of big names. No Natak....he was just a singer, and WHAT A SINGER! Too bad that time these singers didn't get much publicity.

If you ask me, my top 6 would've been -

Nihira
Hema
Abhijeet Goshal
Swananda
Sharib
Debojit

But none of these people, except Nihira and Abhijeet can stand up against some of the previous contestants. They were singers of calibre.

I agree with Nihira. Nihira's voice is unarguably the sweetest and most melodious in SRGMP 2005 and also sings so well. I think this topic is on final 5, and you have somehow brought up the 6th--- the extra one or the substitute, none other than Debu (surprising). Had it not been for the early rounds of agnipariksha and later where he got supportive regional votes, he would have been eliminated long ago and people would have forgotten him...
