Sonu Nigam should quit the show

What kind of example is this show setting to aspiring singers? The quality is so bad this time, I had heard so much about this show and was waiting to watch it since they didn't show Indian idol last year in the U.S. I am so disappointed, I get bored everytime I watch it and switch it iff almost immedaitely because the emphasis is not so much on singing, there are just a handful who quality as decent singers(Amey, Karunya(could be better, needs to work on emotions) and Meenal). Antara does a lot of nakhras and doesn't sing the song to the best of her ability, she can sing much better than what is doing right now.

Overall the show is really inferior to Indian idol 1 and they should do something to correct this. I mean how can they still have singers like Ravi in the contest when singers better than him are getting eliminated?

Sonu, you need to set an example for upcoming singers, this is a chance for you to take a stand, please make a difference by boycotting the show now.

I agree with u....the quality of show has really gone down from last year. But I dont blame the contestants, its the channel who is only thinking of revenues. I mean look at the endorsements (Pizzahut, Hair color etc etc )these people are doing from time to time.

And the makeovers, hype they r trying to create...I wonder when do these kids get time to do the riyaaz. After all its all abt "SINGING" and not looks.

I think only Amey, Karunya and Meenal are truely deserving....Thank God atleast listening to these guys is a relief.

Antara so far has failed to impress me, according to me she sings okay and her voice at times sounds nasal. besides her pronunciation is also bad. And on top of it, I am sick of being reminded time n gain "Chote se Gaav ki Ladki", cmon guys she has been learning music from a very early age. And she has won the competetion for West Bengal.

Sonu is a value addition to the show.His guidance is mandatory for the contestants to lift their standards.. Well I think so...

the show is not as bad as u r saying..rather it is wonderful...and i think thats y we all here talk a lot abt it...

i agree, that some singers r not good....but u gotta accept it...i dont think that all the 12 contestants of II 1 were fabulous as well...and this thing has been said time and again that Indian Idol is not ONLY abt singing but performance as well...they are not meant to be playback singers only, but they have to rock the nation with them....It is this quality of Abhijeet that has made him so popular...

so in my personal opinion, II rocks and fair elimination is only possible if judges have the authority to eliminate contestants.....but when it comes to janta's voting, we always get shocks...just take examples of Fame gurukul and now SRMGP....

I am agree with you. Actually I don't blame on the contestants. I do blame on the judges and Sony. Somehow they are making it Pathetic. Specially Farha and Anu Malik.
In my opinion, There are only three capable singers Amey, Karunaya and Meenal. And for Meenal I am sure, She is very versatile in singing and can sing better than she is singing now. Because of Farha, She has started taking care of her look, expressions, performance and I think after all this she is taking care of her singing. And credit goes to Farha only. Meenal deserves to be in top3 but if she keeps taking care of what Farha needs, She may be out soon.
And what to tell about Anu Malik, he is not capable for a judge, I don't mean that he does not know about music or sur but he does not listen to the contestants and just focus on his shares, while a contestant is singing, he keeps himself busy in making bad shares.
In one gala he praised for Antra alot but in its result episode, He had complaint with Antra about her singing. Man if u r a judge then be careful while a contestant is singing and be honest in comenting, u should not be biased.

In fact Karunya is more nasal than Antara .... The harkat that a Male singer take sshould be much different than that of a Female singer ... his harkats are very femminish ......
