GOD..! no plz no marriage..!! then they ll start showing ki daya strts getting calls from his wife..! and ACP Abhijeet saying "kya hua daya.. biwi ko bahaar le jana hai kya..? koi nahi jao jao..! hum sambhal lenge..!! " that means Daya gayab from teh scene..!! please no marriage stuff..! Daya sir nd Abhijeet sir are best the way they are..!! :D

So till now we have seen 2.5 romantic interests for Daya:

Sonali who appeared in The Case of the Man on the Bus and The Deadly Betrayal. As we know, that was quite a traumatic experience for Daya.

Purvi, appeared in Sr. Inspector Abhijeet. Not exactly a heartbreak but still a tough experience for poor Daya so far.

Dr. Niyati: this was the 0.5 of the 2.5 romantic interests because they didn't actually become a couple. When Niyati returned to CID after CID SB went off air, I distinctly remember some flirting going on between her and Daya. Of course it didn't go anywhere and Niyati disappeared again.

So who do you guys prefer out of these 3 as Daya's love interest? If Sonali/Daya's story hadn't ended in heartbreak the way it did, I would have preferred her instead of Purvi. Of course this maybe because of the poor choice of actress for Purvi. Her non-acting has tainted the character for me. They should recast the role if they plan on bringing her back.

I have to say though that Niyati/Daya seemed to have the potential to make a much better couple than the others. Niyati was a much more entertaining character and had much better chemistry with Daya in my opinion. There was this spark, this energy that's missing from the other relationships we have seen so far. 😊

hmmm Niyati was flirting with Abhi Sir as well. She was just like that, kept throwing dialogs here and there.

She was also flirting with Akshay on CID SB. 😆 Hence I designated her 0.5 because it didn't go beyond the flirting and teasing. I was just thinking of the potential there. The creatives were experimenting with the idea of romantic interests on CID SB and CID using Akshay, Jasmine, Niyati, Daya and Abhijeet. Now if they had gone ahead with Daya/Niyati, I think it had the potential to be a better relationship than the other actual relationships we have seen so far.
