In Greek mythology, Pandora, which means "gifted", was the first woman made of earth and water. She was gifted with music, beauty, and all sorts of talents. Pandora was also gifted a box by Zeus, the supreme God of Mount Olympus. She was asked not to open the box under any circumstances, but she thought she heard pleas from the box full of of creatures that wanted to be released and curiosity got the better of her and she opened the box...
As soon as she opened the lid, the creatures in the form of evils that were stored in the box started escaping and spread on earth. Pandora realized her mistake and quickly closed the lid, but by then it was too late. All the evils escaped except for hope which was at the bottom of the box. By the time hope pleaded to be released, Pandora refused to open the lid.
In a slight twist to the Greek mythology, Amma a Thakurji Bhakt, thinks that what she is out to do by getting rid of Radhika is good for the Purohit Parivaar because Vishakha is a better option for them and Dev. She has been warned by Shashtriji and Daadima to stay put, but Amma knows better. All she has to do is little by little open her mouth, spill some tidbits to get some family members riled up and turn against Radhika, and her work will be done. What she does does not realize is that by opening her mouth, she is releasing the evils, the same evils that some day will come to bite her in her own rear end (for a lack of a better term!)!
Hope in Amma's story is Radhika and in the end Radhika will be released from Amma's grip by the likes of Shashtriji and Daadima.
This story will have its twists and turns and forum members will complain about the DJs and the Creatives and Deeya and Tony Singh, but hope will have its day too! Rest assured! 😆😆😆

Gardes,
Great comparison of Pandora's box with Amma. Amma was the one who opened her mouth when Vaishali had taken a promise from Radhika not to marry Dev. As a result, both Shastriji and Dev came to know about it and nullified her actions. Similarly, she is setting up a downfall of her own grand-daughter. I just hope the creatives are going with the final nail in Amma's coffin of exposing her evilness. By now, even Vaishali has realized how bad Amma is and none of PF members want her there.
The good thing is that Radhika is now extremely strong where Vishaka and Amma are concerned. She has finally broken that emotional hold they had on her for a long time. Actually, it was always due to Vishaka that she made sacrifices. But, Vishaka went too far last time when she hurt Dev again and that was the catalyst for Radhika. Both Vishaka and Amma still don't realize it and think Radhika as a weak person.
I am now again getting into this story based on today's episode. They showed that strong bond between Radhika and Dev that we viewers want to see.
BTW, I would love to see your prediciton of battle of Dadis because I always felt that Radhika would get over her need for a grandmother's love when she gets the love from Dadi. She always had that but it was not her right according to her thinking. Now that she is officially the DIL, she is getting that affection every day. Dadi loves Radhika almost as much as she loves Dev. In fact, she loves Radhika more than she ever did once she found out how much Dev adores Radhika.

Thank you Gardes, that was a really good comparison.
You are right, the road to hope will be a long and arduous one, but I am willing to be patient and travel that road with our RaDev as long as Amma gets what's coming to her in the end!

Gardes,

yes Pandora's tale is such an apt one at this juncture in CB. I am actually quite happy that Amma is riling up everyone against Rads. This is exactly how she is going to be crushed ultimately. Earlier her hatred for Radhika was just between the Shastri family members. It is now so out in the open that when the truths finally come out, Radhika will not only be shielded from everyone's wrath but they may even pay homage to her inner self belief and strength that carried her through all the trauma, Amma has put her through.

Amma has no clue that by cornering Radhika and Dev to confess the reason Dev brought Vishaka to PB, she would be a catalyst in shredding Vishaka'a already sullied reputation to pieces and in the process, once and for all closing the doors of PB on Vishaka's face. And she absolutely deserves it.

yuup...
Vish would be out of PB and now hiten would the track to work on.
Vish, Hiten, Amma, and Miry might shake hands but they have different goals.
Vish and Amma wants to keep Dev Rajpurohit. Miru does not.
They only have one common goal that is to separate Radev, but for different reasons.

I just hope the creatives are going with the final nail in Amma's coffin of exposing her evilness. By now, even Vaishali has realized how bad Amma is and none of PF members want her there. - Amma may not be shaken off this fast... Amma is spewing enough tidbits to raise doubts because she feels she has an ace up her sleeve. She said as much but Mrinu counterplayed that by saying that Radhika will tell the truth when she returns and this will force Amma to change strategy. RaDev's strongest suit now is their understanding of Vishakha's motives. Vishamma will play theirs and I hope RaDev stand united through it all.
- Both Vishakha and Amma's grip is loosened on Radhika but Radhika will be blackmailed to snatch Dev away. That will be a chink in Radhika's armor. Let us see how she plays that card. I hope strongly.
I am now again getting into this story based on today's episode. They showed that strong bond between Radhika and Dev that we viewers want to see. - Yes, today's episode was heartening, but Dev's chink in the armor will be Shantanu's attention to Radhika. It would be interesting to watch that track play out.
- In the battle of the Daadis, Radhika may end up being the innocent victim. Radhika has Amma's number now and is cautious, and she also has Daadima's love and trust, but Amma may fill enough venom in Daadima's ears to shake her trust in Radhika. This may happen because Daadima said today that we have a lot of expectations of you. Expectations is a BAD word. Any failure associated with expectations leads to trouble and I am worried about the use of that word!

There are two people who have steadfast trust in Radhika in PF from the very beginning - Dev and Dadi. Dadi said two things which are bad for Radhika - too many expectations and Radhika not hiding things from her. Both are bad because nobody and especially somebody as young as Radhika can fulfil unlimited expectations. Those expectations from Devki and Shastriji led Radhika to do too many unneeded sacrifices so as to gain their approval. Here Dadi is not making any allowance for Radhika's age or upbringing in an adopted family with an evil grandmother. Secondly, Radhika has hidden things from Dadi about Vishaka, but she has told them to Dev (not counting Vikram track as it is dead for now and last year's wedding truth). So, it is unreasonable for Dadi to expect that Dev and Radhika would tell her everything all the time. At this time, Radhika is caught between Dev and Dadi and she went with Dev in hiding the truth about Vishaka. As Dev is their own blood, he gets away with a lot including many decisions by himself. But Radhika unfortunately does not. So, yes I think Dadi's trust in Radhika would be shaken and Shantanu's tactics would hurt Radhika in the short term due to that.
I think Dev's trust in Radhika is absolute and he is not likely to believe Shantanu over Radhika especially as he has already doubts about this guy. His trust would be shaken when the truth about the first wedding comes out. The question is if Radhika would take a lot of blame on herself to save Devki. If that happens, then Dev may not realize that it wasn't Radhika's fault during the wedding time and later on she kept quiet to save reputations of two families. So, for now Dev's trust will remain in Radhika unless they merge this track with the first wedding track in a month or so. Vishaka won't be hurt at this point because she is a fallen woman in everyone's eyes anyway.
So, it would be interesting to see if Radhika's fall in the end comes due to distrust from Dev and Dadi in the short run.

Why, I just snipped your response to keep it short.
My responses are not based on the Creatives' rationale - I have lost all hope in that area, but are based on studying human behavior. If you study human psychology, the positive emotion of trust invariably gets eroded by 2 negative emotions - expectations and jealousy. Someone you trust does not come through, the person becomes worth nothing. The person you love gets attention from elsewhere or they shower attention on someone, jealousy pops its head.
Everyone, including you and I will agree that Dev loves Radhika implicitly. They why is he wary and leery of Shaantanu? He sees Shaantanu paying attention to Radhika and Radhika being who she is takes it in stride, but Dev does not see it the same way!
Dev may trust Radhika but jealousy will rear its ugly head if we go by Dr. Sigmund Freud and not the Creatives!

Thanks, Sandeepa. Amma is getting too brazen for her own good. She deserves everything that her Thakurji will send her way! We just have to wait and watch.
