*****Saregamapa Challenge 2006*****

Hey all, I saw Cinema A to Z yesterday, and some lady mentioned Saregamapa 2006, new hopes for it. I came up with a couple of things they could add:

1. Have a limit of 512 contestants. There will be judges. Each one will sing, and the ones that got red cards will be out. 128 out of the 512 will go on.

2. only 32 of the 128 will go on. The 32 remaining will split in to 4 teams of 8.

3. The 4 teams will have a face off, and only 4 from each team will go on.
So now there will be 4 teams of 4. Judges will come in, but they will not show red or green cards. We will use the mento meter on this part. O ya, the teams will have there own names

4. There will be 1 person out from easch team every week. So there will be 4 altogether that are out. How will they get?, the one that get's the lowest points, from mento meter, in each team will be out. If two people have the same scoring, they will have to sing again, the same song, and be judged again. Lower one is out.

5. Now there will be only 3 people left. This is where the public voting starts. But here's the great part. The person must not recieve more than 50% votes from his her state, than anyother state. Don't understand?
Here let me explain -

Let's say that Hema ( a contestant) recieves 10Lakh votes from Gujurat. He can't recieve more than 15 Lakh from his state, unless there is another state that gives more than ten lakh. Example:

Gujurat = 10 Lakh Votes
UP = 13 Lakh Votes
Assam = 15 LAkh Votes
Hydrabad = No more than 22.5 Lakhs, becuase it is 50% more than the highest votes he got ( EXcluding home town)

This'll probably STOP regionalism. and stop conversations like " he won cuz he got more votes from his home town more than anywhere else" - he has a limit. He can only be the voice of INDIA, if INDIA votes for him. This'll stop "Hatrism" all over india.

good job i agree w/ u but i think that there should be mentors but only to train them i think that there should be neutral judges to actually JUDGE them and give them the pionts instead of the mentors....i think that will stop some controversies...but i am geting a little confused on the voting part

Voting Part =

Let's say that

13 Lakh Votes - Gujurat
45 Lakh votes - UP
12 Lakh Votes - Assam w/e
then, Hema can only get up to 67.5 Lakh Votes from Hyderabad. Becuase 45 - 67.5 is a 50% incrase. So in order for Hema to get a Large amount of votes from Hyderabad, he has to get a large amount of votes from somewhere else. So it is the Highest votes + 50% = The votes he can get from Home town

I agree neutral judges only ! also voting so show what person got overall without stating where they got it and internet and all sources like they are sowith the last two is the way! We should not know where they are getting votes! this would stop regionalism!

I think your voting system is hetic and haphazard lets just give what percentsge they got overall without telling where and no one should know!
