'Indian Idol 2' viewers were in for a huge shock on Tuesday night as one of the funkiest guys of the contest, Panna Gill, was voted out. Panna, who was fondly called the Saif Khan of the contest featured in the bottom three for the first time

He was arguably the best performer in the second series of 'Indian Idol'. As the judges said, "Panna was a complete package"; good looking, stylish, a good singer and an electrifying stage performer

Panna kept a brave face through it all. When most of his friends and even the judges broke down, the Punjabi guy kept smiling. His mother, sitting in the audience was seen praying with her eyes closed. The irony was that he was left in the bottom two with his pal, Karunya. Karunya was moved to tears as he recalled how Panna was generous with him during their stay together

Originally from Jamshedpur, Panna Gill's inspiration for music is his own father Lakhbir Singh, who is a renowned devotional singer. Panna's interest in music started from the age of 13 and since then all he has thought about is a career in music. Panna is a student of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.

The clips that were shown of Panna during the 2-3 months of his association with the show had him speaking on how would it be to get voted out. Panna said, "My life will fall apart if I get voted out". It was an emotional moment when he sang his farewell song, 'Haar ke baad hi jeet hai'.

I feel so bad for Panna....I WISH HE CUD COME BACK ......he deserves to be back anyhow ...I just used to watch the show for him.....Now I wont ....PANNA IS THE BEST....I LOVE YOU PANNA.....AND ILL MISS YOU SO MUCH.....MAY YU GET EVERY HAPPINESS .....
