-Armaan, having battled the temporary disorder of his "mansik santulan", remembers how his beloved travelled all the way to Panchgani to try and reunite with him. But alas, it wasn't to happen. He takes advantage of her losing conciousness and retrieves all the traces that showed they were ever together, the bracelet, the anklet and he leaves solemnly out the door never to look back on what he left behind...Riddhima. However, there goes a saying, "there is a time and place for everything", and this is what brings Armaan Malik back with a bang! He checks in at the airport and a smile creeps up on his face, the concert is a mere excuse, he utters the words, "Riddhima main aagya hoon", proclaiming the absolute reason for his return.
And what about Riddhima, having lost her first love she faces further dejection when she finds her husband cannot ever forgive her for, she admits, her irresponsible act of attempting to commit suicide. So, lost love and a failed marriage, what was supposed to be a remedy turns to be worse than the poison itself...what to do? If the situation couldn't get any worse then a oblivious sasu ma shows up to add some spice! And the first thing on her 'to do' list? why get her son married of course! How ironic. So here we have it, a rendevous with the apparent "NRI" who turns out to be none other than colleague Naina, and if sasu-ma couldn't just contain the bitching to domestic grounds, we hear her openly slating Riddhima at the Ramada Hotel, you'd think she had something better to talk about when discussing a marriage proposal for her son at such a renowned hotel. Euch. And bechari Riddhima stands there cautiously watching all this. Why doesn't my husband say anything? He can come all the way to Panchgani, save my honour in front of my father, family, and the whole staff of Sanjeevani at the expense of his own, but not today! WHY WHY WHY!!? And she leaves to do the worst, something totally against her values, taught by her parents, her dreams, of her own life when she would be a married woman. The sindoor is rubbed away, the chura and mangalsutra removed, leaving her neck and arms looking so ordinary and plain. The "glow" of a married woman absent from her appearance. Sid questions her, and Riddhima is helpless, I need you the most today because I have begun to appreciate you, I appreciate us, I appreciate our relationship....and that is why it affects me if you talk about marrying someone else Siddhant. She proceeds towards him, her gesture confident, she thinks of the time Siddhanth questioned when she would make the first move towards him and she does. She breaks into Siddhant's arms, despondent, as he is the only thing keeping her together now. They married in order to be there for each other, now only together they are complete and she cannot face to lose a part to herself again...
But what does Siddhant think of all this? Having initially faced absolute rejection from Tamana, she tells him that he doesn't love her...but the day he meets that person in his life, it will be clear. Riddhima's insanity over Armaan, generated by her love shocks Siddhanth. He hasn't ever experienced someone go to such great lengths for another..and he is fascinated by it, looking upon Riddhima he sees emotions he woud want another to feel for him. And so we have "SidMa" moments, Siddhanth didn't fall in love with Riddhima but he had taken the first step in that direction. Love does not happen overnight and with Riddhima's attempted suicide, their relationship pretty much reversed in the space of an hour. His understanding, sympathy, guilt all went out the window and Siddhant found he couldn't stand Riddhima. She existed as an obligation, something he had to put up with for the sake of her father whom he respects so much. Dr. Shashank's tempremental health and Riddhima's persistence to keep the relationship together means that Siddhant fails to further their impending separation. But then in that time the roles reversed, Siddhant wanted to end the relationship because he "knew" that it had no future, but Riddhima's excuse? She had to give their relationship another try because thats how she'd accepted life as she would now know it. Separation meant= no Armaan and now no Sid, her Father's disappointment and a branded "divorcee" in the beady eyes of scrutinising society. None of these things were good. She knew there had been hope before and she wanted it to return, if it was her mistake she would do anything to rectify it. Then it had happened, her perseverance of winning Siddhant seemed to have done alot more than that, no effect on him but she found herself changed, she needed him now. Siddhant obviously clueless to this sudden change sees Riddhima crying, does our relationship actually make a difference to you? And her response with a tight hug, astonishes him. "Kahin Riddhima mujhse pyar--". He cuts himself off short, disregarding his own query. He has come so far down the road with her, that at every step he finds himself at crossroads, he travels down a path and sees Riddhima following and so immediately changes course, to leave her behind. So what now, what happens when he finds that she's caught up with him and walks alongside him now? A confused Siddhant places an unsteady, yet reassuring hand on her back, letting her know of his presence.
Lekin yeh saath kab tak? The three images show what the future is to bring for these three characters. And so it starts...Armaan and Riddhima reunited? Siddhanth and Riddhima separated?
Siddhant and Riddhima joined together? Armaan and Riddhima to depart once again?
When your love for two and a half years returns to you, you'd take them back right? But what happens when you get married to another. A marriage from which there arises no love, no hope, only pain and suffering. Is it tempting enough to lead the path back to the person you lost, where you know the hope of being accepted is guaranteed?
And the effect on others?
What's going to happen with Siddhant and Naina?...(cause it will) And Yuvi?
And what about Raj's devious plan with the YuNa split, does he have more competition now that Sid has become involved as a potential groom/fiance? Will he be the one to spill the beans to Mrs. Modi Snr?
And what about the issue of the very much filled position of a Mrs Modi jnr. a.k.a Ridhzie-poo! Can Sid get married TWICE?!
And Suvarna? The crush leading to alot more with rockstar Armaan Malik, or does she prefer the Rehab Raj?? Ayi yai yai....BHOOL BHULAIYA!
The only people to remain unscathed by this disruption are Jiggy and JP-comics and singletons to remain comics and singletons. Woop dee doo daa!
