March 10 - Written/Video Update

-Recap-

The pundit asks about Jamunia and says that he can see from her face that she is unlucky, and Ramlali agrees with and says she finished her parents off when she was a little girl. The pundit says that someone made the Pooja impure and Ramlali burns Jamunia's leg with an iron rod. The pundit says that fate did not accept this punishment and tells Ramlali to send Jamunia to a mandir to be in the service of god.

-Roof-

Starts out with a bit of yesterday's scene repeated; Ramlali applies the balm and Jamunia gets emotional seeing Ramlali care for her. Ramlali asks why she's crying and Jamunia says that today her faith won. Ramlali is confused and Jamunia says that people talk behind her back and think she's really terrible, but she had faith that Ramlali loved her a lot [if only you knew Jamu]. Ramlali hugs Jamunia, who keeps speaking, saying that if her mother were alive, she too would chastise her if she made a mistake [your real mother would never burn you!] and Ramlali makes faces behind Jamunia's back. Ramlali tells her to just ignore people and their gissip, and gives her the plate of food and leaves.

Jamunia thanks Ramji that Ramlali has forgiven her, while Ramlali joins the other 3 downstairs, all with evil grins on their faces. Jamunia is really happy.

-Morning-

Shivkali refuses to let Chutki into the house. They get into a fight. Chutki tells Shivkali to send Jamunia outside, and Shivkali says that Jamunia is sick. Chutki attempts to go inside the house but Shivkali stops her. They both argue and Chutki threatens to go inside when Ramlali comes and holds Chutki's ear and threatens that she will inform her father about her rude behaviour and shuts the door in Chutki's face. Chutki is worried about Jamunia and wonders what to do.

-Chutki's Home-

Chutki's dad is hitting Chutki's mother with a stick, but Chutki's mother refuses to do what he asked. She says that even an animal protects its child, he's worse than an animal. The dad replies that me's a man, hence he thinks with his head, and she's stupid, like an animal. He pulls out wads of cash from his pocket to show her, but she replies that no one should sell their daughter. He slaps the mom again and says that he didn't sell Chutki, he fixed her rishta in such a big house, and she will get married and go to the Haveli. She says that they haven't even seen Chutki, what is it that they like about her? Why have they asked that this marriage be a secret? Things that are hidden from others are usually wrong [totally agree with her here]. Also they want the wedding done very soon, something's wrong, and she disagrees with the proposal.

The dad says that he's taken the money, so they can't turn away now, Chutki will get married to as planned to the Haveli boy. Chutki comes and is shocked to see this and her dad tells her that her mom is just being uncooperative. The dad shows her an outfit that he got and Chutki likes it, but the mom tells her to stay away from it because her dad is selling her. The dad cuts the mom off and says that these are her wedding clothes.

Chutki is shocked and refuses to get married and throws the dress on the ground and runs out of the house. The dad picks up his stick and chases her, and right outside the house, starts to beat her. The mom stops him, while the neighbours watch. The dad warns her to put those clothes on and dress like a dulhann, or else those are the clothes she will be going to her grave in. As an afterthought, the dad says that her wedding is today, and he walks away, leaving Chutki and her mom crying.

-House-

Jamunia is brushing her hair when Ramlali comes in acts all loving and motherly again. They start talking about marriage and Jamunia says that she will never leave the house to go anywhere. Mami mentions about Chutki and that she heard that Chutki is getting married today itself. Jamunia is shocked and says that Chutki would never get married without informing her. Ramlali says that there's no preparations and no one is invited, shethinks that her drunk dad sold Chutki, and she leaves giving Jamunia some food. Jamunia is still shocked and worried [You need to focus on the problems that will soon be on your own head dear]

~Break~

Jamunia is at Chutki's house but it scared to go in because her dad might be home. Jamunia peeks inside and sees Chutki's mom sitting on the floor, crying, and immediately rushes to comfort her. She confesses to Jamunia that on the name of marriage, Chutki's dad has sold her off, and Jamunia is shocked. The mom tells her that if her mama finds her here, she will be in trouble, so she should go home, and like her, with a heavy heart, just accept it. Jamunia is reluctant to go.

-Road-

Bodhan, Ramlali and Jamunia are in an ox-drawn cart heading somewhere when they see a whole line of expensive looking cars in a line, among which is a car decorated with flowers, and a few guys carrying a paalkhi. As the paalkhi is going by, Jamunia is shocked to find that the bride inside is Chutki.

Jamunia jumps out and tries to limp towards the doli but Bodhan and Ramlali stop her, telling her to forget about Chutki. Jamunia tries to explain that her mother was very worried, and she has to go and tell her about this, but Ramlali forces her back on the cart and tells her that she needs to go see the doctor, forget Chutki.

-Mandir-

The ox cart stops and everyone gets out and Jamunia is surprised to see them at the mandir, and asks them about the plans of going to a doctor. Bodhan says that Ramji is the greatest doctor, but before Jamunia can argue, Ramlali tells her that they have donated her to the temple, and this is her home now, and Jamunia is shocked.

~Break~

Jamunia asks why and Ramlali says that it's so that she and her bad luck can be away from her and her family. Jamunia tries to plead with them but they say that this is her fate now. Bodhan and Ramlali try to drag Jamunia into the mandir, who is resisting with full force, when the creepy smirking pundit comes outside and tells them to stop.

The pundit says that this is a house of god, then why is she (Jamunia) scared? People here sing songs of devotion and love, she should come join them, because this is what fate has decided for her. The pundit is pissed to see that Jamunia is still trying to struggle away. Bodhan and Ramlali start to drag a scared Jamunia up the steps while the pundit smirks.
