And personally I love the lyrics too! Javedsaab was asked to write a parody song - to satirise the meaningless lyrics that we hear in dance songs these days. (He had to do the same thing in Sajna Ji Vari Vari too!) Even with a title like 'dard-e-disco' he wrote some nice lines like

'Fasl-e-gul thi gulposhiyon ka mausam tha, Hum par kabhi sarghoshiyon ka mausam tha. Kaisa junoon khwaabon ki anjuman mein tha, Kya main kahoon kya mere baankpan mein tha.'

Anyway I'm not here to discuss lyrics. The singing was good - great modulation, expression, nuances and special Sukhwinder-style 'voice breaking harkats'!

The main difficulty I have in rating the song is that how can you compare this with 'Kal Ho Na Ho' or 'Lakshya'? It's like apples and oranges - donon ka apna hi ras hai.

The singing is confusing though - it's technically very good but it doesn't 'move' me emotionally. It just makes me wanna move to the beat haha!

Well, Sonu did his job well by injecting emotion and sensitivity into his song. And Sukhwinder has done his job well by making the song joshila and energetic. And both of them put in some very difficult techniques.

Toh iss adaalat ki raay hai ki dono singers ko 9 points ka jurmana de kar ba-izzat bari kar diya jaye!

Atif Aslam's songs are even big hit. That doesn't mean that we appreciate him as a singer. You also told me that you consider Atif as besura.
You can see how many tens has this song got till now.

Once again, judging singing and songs is 2 different things. Judging songs is more personal taste. Which is why I was referencing to people on IF having poor taste.
