Hi guys, could someone please explain this to me - Im South African so maybe I dont really understand some of the so called "Indian" customs.

My understanding is that your Maama (Mamaji) is your mums brother, if that is true the how come mamaji and Sadhana have the same surname?

I mean in one of the January episodes, Sadhana ws going to visit Ranveer in Jail and said her name is Sadhana Sharma, and Vasu called mamaji Sharmaji, so Im assuming his surname is Sharma as well.

Could someone please explain this to me, as Im a bit confused.😳

actually sadi is an orphan,as her mom and dad are no more..
so,mamaji assumes her as his daughter vasu calls him sharmaji as its his cast..

Thank you for responding - so sadhana is actually no relative to Ragni and mamaji at all???

I dont understand the whole cast thing at all.

no they are relatives. ragini is sadi's cousin but treats her as her real sis.
sadhna is always targeted to mami's cold shoulder,mami hates her..b'cause of her color

I see - like that movie with Shahid Kapoor?

I only started watching last year when Ragni was getting married, so I missed like about a year before that I think, actually we dont get star plus in South Africa (we dont get any Indain channels here), so I watch it on the net.
