Ok.. before starting, this is the first time I am writing something of this sort.. So, plz bear with me... I have gathered courage and guts to write her amidst wonderful writers like Mahak, Nidzy, Aparajita, Divya(myownarea), Sanam.. and all others.. I am sorry.. I dont remember names.. but all those beautiful writers here..
This is for my friend Mahak... its her b'day today and this is my gift for her.... Happy Birthday Mahak..
After all the days long work and getting JD behind the bars, Nupz is all set to go back to her house.. the place where she and Mayank stay together..
Nupur leaves the Bhushan Mansion with a happy and a sad heart.. Happy because she will finally go and stay with Mayank.. her home and also because this was her first Holi after marriage. Sad because, Bauji still hadn't accepted them, especially Mayank. She knew that Bauji was realizing his mistake for behaving so rudely and bad with them, but still wasn't giving up his stand. She felt really bad that her husband was treated so badly by Bauji.. Her eyes filled with tears and she was on her way to her Home.
At Bhushan Mansion, Bauji as usual got up early. He remembered that today was Holi, and all the past memories came back afresh in his mind. He smiled as he remembered how Nupur would get up early that day and how she would not allow anyone to apply gulal to Bauji till she drenched him with colours. Remembering all this his eyes became moist... He terribly missed Nupur... He knew that what she had done to Adhiraj was not correct, he also understood that the way he treated Mayank and Nupur was the worse treatment any father would do.. He had seen the kind nature of Mayank.. not only kind, but caring, understanding and supportive nature of Mayank during this full JD case and Gunjan's hospitalization.... He was going through a lot of mixed emotions.... He had started liking Mayank as a person, he had accepted Nupur.. Infact, he was very proud of her today..... and more importantly.. he was proud that Nupur-Mayank are together and that they are made for each other...
Thinking all these, his eyes became very moist.. when he heard Bui's voice..
Bui - Arey Bhaiyya, Aap yahan par hai.... mein toh sab jagah aap ko dhoondh rahi thi... Holi ke badhaiyaan bhaiyya.. and she moves forward to apply Gulal.. par Bauji peeche hath jaate hain...
Bui samajh jaati hai ki woh Nupur ko bahut yaad kar rahe hain...
Bui - Itni yaad aa rahi hain apni ladli ki, toh jaayiye, usse baat kijiye, apna lijiye un donon ko... donon ko apne baahon mein sama lijiye aur gulal bhi laga lijiye usse... saare rishtedaar aate hi honge..
Bauji looks at Bui.. and tells.. tum sahi keh rahi ho Ratna... mujhe apni galti sudhaar leni chahiye.. Nupur hamesha kehti hai.. ki usse Mayank mein, main dikhtaa hoon...woh bilkul mere Bauji jaisa hai.. par main kabhi bhi uss bachche ko samajh nahin paaya.. uske saath itna bura bartav karne ke baavajood, Mayank ne mera khayal rakha.. Hospital mein usne mere liye bahut kiya... sachchi.. Nupur ne toh bahut hi achcha jeevan saathi dhoondha hain khud ke liye... aur mere liye Beta bhi.. mein abhi jaata hoon...
At Samrat's outhouse:- Nupur unlatches the door.. she comes in to find Mayank sleeping... she was surprised.. as Mayank gets up early... but then she notices that he had been studying all night, so she goes and first freshens up, then comes to kitchen and prepares some coffee and sandwiches.... and goes to wake up Mayank..
Mayank is very happy to see her back home.. he is even happier that she hasn't put gulal on him still... He doesn't like colours...
M - arey nupur.. tum kab aayi... aur tum itni ajeeb si behave kyun kar rahi ho.. itni shaant toh tum kabhi nahin ho?
N- mein aake 1 ghanta ho gaya ** in her mind.. agar maine isse bata diya ke mein isspar rang dalne waali hoon.. toh yeh wapas akadu aur sadu ban jaayega.. mujhe toh kuch na kuch sochna hoga**
M- kahan kho gayi... still happy that Nupz doesn't remember Holi.... little does he know, his wife is already planning about how to trick him....
N- arey Mayu.. kuch nahin.. chalo jaldi se fresh ho jaao, breakfast karte hain aur bahar jaate hain, garden mein.. khuli hawa mein...
M- still happy and reeling... freshens up, has breakfast..
In the meanwhile... Nupz is already out in the garden.. and says with a triumph.. Ab bachke kahan jaaoge Mr. Mayank Sharma.. and comes back in hurriedly so that he doesn't smell a rat..
N- haan chalo... baahar jaate hain... bahut din ho gaye hain naa.. garden jaake... phoolon ko dekhkar...
M- nodding his head vigourously.....
and then they come to the garden, talking all the random things..... and then Mayu realizes that Nupz has been missing... he searches for her and then finally finds her watering the flowers with pipe...
He goes closer to her... and then LO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hez fully drenched with Gulal... and Nupur standing there giving her victorious laugh... Mayank still shocked and confused seeing what had just hit him...
He sees Nupz running away with the pipe... He stands there amazed at his wife's skills... full of nautanki, surprise, childishness, innocence.. and he admires her..
And then he gets hit by a balloon.. that Nupur throws at him... This time he also comes back in his Masti element.. and shouts at Nupur:
Ab tum nahin bachogi.... Tum toh aaj gayi.. and starts running behind her.. and finally gets hold of her.. and then..
He fully drenches her with colour, water...Colour.. that of love, affection, caring... and they share a beautiful eye-lock...... and then Nupz realizes that they are in the middle of the garden... so she tries to come back into reality and does some more of her nautanki act.. Laughing away.. her eyes give way to the tears in her eyes... This Mayank sees and then
M- Kya hua Nupz... kyun yeh aansoon?
N- Nahin Mayank.. mein bahut khush hoon ki aaj hum donin saath hain.. par mein Bauji ko bahut zyaada miss kar rahi hoon... and she tells him how they played Holi and all her childhood memories with Holi and Bauji..
Unaware, of the fact that Bauji was seeing and listening to all these from some distance.. He was seeing them playing, enjoying.. spraying water on each other, their love, the cute nok-jkok they had..... and was cursing himself for treating them so badly...
M- Nupur.. tum chinta mat karo.. sab theek ho jayega.. waise bhi Bauji ne tumhe toh apna liya haina.. toh isse zyaade mujhe aur kya chahiye..
N- par..
And before she could say anything,
B- Aur tumhe bhi.. Mayank beta...
They both are stunned and surprised to see Bauji there...
B- Tum donon mujhe maaf kardo.. pata nahin maine Mayank jaise Heere ko pehchaane mein Galti kaise kardi...
M- Aap yeh kya keh rahe hain.. bhala Bade kabhi choton se maafi maangte hain kya....
B- Toh phir chalo.. ghar chalo... aur apni pehli Holi hamare saath manao..... aur Nupur.. maine abhi tak kisiko apne par gulal lagane nahin diya.. Har saal pehle tum hi lagati ho na... aage bhi aisa hi hoga....
N- haan Bauji... ab bhi mein hi pehle lagaoongi... She has tears in eyes.. but this time , woh khushi ke aansoon they... she was Happy to see that the two most important men in her life are together with her..
