Do trained dancers have more of a benefit over untrained dancers?
Are trained dancers one step ahead of the game than untrained dancers?
Are trained dancers the better lot?
What are your opinions on this.

Honestly I think that if you have the talent, dedication, commitment, passion, and love for dance then it doesn't matter how trained or untrained you are! Yes it is true that trained dancers have a slight advantage with whether they are trained with. But its like not the untrained dancers can't catch up. DID has shown us some very talented untrained dancers! So its definitely possible if you have that commitment & dedication in you! Yea trained dancers obviously are going to be better in whatever they are trained in. But as I said if you have those qualities mentioned above it hardly matters!

What's your take?

I honestly feel its their pure dedication and love of dancing thats going to take them places.
Training helps, but its the dedication and effort that counts.

1. Do trained dancers have more of a benefit over untrained dancers?
Trained dancers have an advantage, benefiting from it would depend on what they are trained in, a classically trained dancer benefits the most because of the training due to rigors/years spent.

2. Are trained dancers one step ahead of the game than untrained dancers?
Unless a trained dancer is professionally exposed to performing on stage et al they are on par with untrained.

Are trained dancers the better lot?
Hmmm, Naturally gifted dancers are the best ⭐️ trained or untrained. When a dance is executed beautifully, naturally, with ease and grace by any dancer its a WOW. Sometimes trained dancers lose themselves in the technicality and seem stiff, the hardwork and effort shows. They don't seem to be enjoying the moment and concentrate on getting it right.
That's just my take.

Trained dancers do have an advantage over the untrained ones solely in what they do.. but, I don't think anything can beat the dedication, compassion and commitment and "craze" of a dancer whether trained or untrained.. 😊
But as far as I have seen 'til now, the classically-trained(contemporary or ballroom or Indian) do have an slight advantage over the untrained dancers.. 😕 They can blend and flow into any dance form they are given.. not that untrained do not !!
There's also a dis-advantage that so and so genre trained dancer(hip-hop or P&L) cannot be able to do the other dances.. Just like Prince from last season.. who was verry good at p&l.. but wasn't THAT impressive in contemporary..Overall, it doesn't matter much..! 😆

Are trained dancers one step ahead of the game than untrained dancers?
I don't think so.. but once again, it depends on whether a person is classically trained.. they do have that advantage.., they can see and learn or even do anything they're given..
Untrained(talented, compassionate ones) can learn everything and anything.. and the trained are already best a what they do ! The Universe IS in balance.. !😃

Are trained dancers the better lot?
I don't think so.. the natural talent.. and dedication of a dancer plays much of an important role irrespective of trained and untrained..
Sometimes the trained turn out to be the weaker ones.. as they can fall-short in the other genera that's total opposite to their style.. 😕

training definitely hepls in the technical area but for me dance is all abt the feel and tat can be achieved only thru pure dedication and passion....its sth tat shld be inborn and which is not really related 2 thr yrs of training one undergoes...just like kunwar....hes untrained but the way he emotes is bang on...he dances frm his heart and tats why i enjoy his performances..... i'm not saying thee technical aspect is unimportant, its just tat its more like a bonus 4 me....nothing wrks if u don't understand the emotions related 2 the act

Heyy.. so as far as we've seen the eliminations 'til date, it proves that it really doesn't matter if the dancers are trained or not.. All that matters is the determination and commitment of a dancer. And the natural talent of the dancer.. that is gifted to him/her should be utilised in a proper way..
And I would like to add up a point, if anyone reading this likes it or not.. the "popularity" of a dancer DOES play a VERY significant role in bagging the high position.. irrespective of their talent, verrsatility..

I'm sorry to burst peoples bubbles...but there are no untrained dancers on a show like this...they'd bite the dust very early on...its obvious that each and every person on the show has had some sort of classes with varying levels of time dedicated to it

I think all you need is passion for dancing. At one time, a trained dancer was untrained. Also DID shows so many different types of dancing, some I have never even heard of. I doubt the contestants knew either. But they get "trained" in it. So I think all you need is that cominment in yourself. I think there is a slight advantage but if an untrained dancer puts more devotion into his/her dancing, then that person will be successful in dancing

When they first introduced Amar...I believe I saw him in a dance studio or class...I may be mistaken...my memory is shot cause I'm all drugged up on antibiotics lol...but I still am an ardent believer that the dancers are still trained in some certain style of dance...though they may have been less rigorously trained as the others...to me...passion just won't cut it...you need technique...and from what I've seen...both Amar and Binny have technique...which doesn't pop up out of the blue
