this serial of colors has a female lead Nakusha which is black and ugly, father a useless drunkard, mother a helpless maid and brother a fun loving kid who cannot tolerate people insulting her sister. From this column, we trying to stress Nakusha in reality is a fair and beautiful girl but her circumstances which leads her to hide this from the world. This proves that in rural india girls from only rich and powerful people are safe from the cruelties of life.

But had been Nakusha in real dark and ugly would have made a stronger impact and message and interesting tale to tell. In yesteryears Nutan's husband made a film on the same subject called "Satyam, shivam and Sundram" but it has been overshadowed in glamorization of female body in recent times. Ashok Kumar's film " Meri Surat Teri Ankhen" stressed on Male which was ugly and it beautifully portrayed it.

In Indian society and film world always were biased towards good looking, beautiful and fair people. In matrimonial ads too stresses on the same fact. Even a extreme black male would want bride to be fair and even a black, fat Mom-in law would want her Daugter in law would want a fair, beautiful and slim bride.
