Chapter 1
"For this project I will be pairing you all up with surpise partners," Ms. Aha said. "And you cannot choose your own partners."
Stifles of groans were heard from all around the room. It was unusual that she was appointing partners instead of the usual choose-your-own-partner system, and it was hardly difficult to make out that no one was happy with this arrangement.
"Here students," Ms. Aha said, a little sternly this time. "This is for the best."
"But ma'am what if we get paired up with students we don't like?" a male student.
"Then you'll simply have to like them Shahid," Ms. Aha said. "Okay so here are the pairs."
Every student, well almost every student listened earnestly to see who their partners were. Some of them straightened their backs, while the others bend forward earnestly.
"The first pair is Shahid Kapoor," Ms. Aha said and Shahid looked up at her. "And Miss. Priyanka Chopra."
"What?" a beautiful girl in a white slip dress asked. "Me with him?"
"Yes Miss. Chopra," Ms. Aha said. "You have to work with Shahid, whether you like it or not."
"But I hate her," Shahid piped in.
"As if I love you," Priyanka snapped.
"Priyanka, Shahid, stop fighting please," Ms. Aha said. "Put your differences aside and work on the project."
Priyanka gave Shahid a killer glare and he gave one back to her.
"The next pair of partners are," Ms. Aha said. "Mayank Sharma-"
All the girls (except one) looked excitedly at their teacher to know who is the lucky one.
"And Nupur Bhushan," Ms. Aha completed.
There was complete silence in the class. Some of them gasped while some looked furiously at the teacher.

Mayank Sharma looked around the class to figure out who this Nupur Bhushan was. He had never heard of her and thought whether she was a new student or something.
"Ms. Aha who in here is Nupur Bhushan?" he asked, curiously.
Mayank's gaze followed Ms. Aha's hand and found a young girl, sleeping blissfully over her backpack.
That was Nupur Bhushan? Sure he had noticed her in class, considering the fact that she had always been asleep.
"Her?" Mayank asked, shocked. "But Ms. Aha she doesn't do a thing!"
"Mayank please don't behave like other students," Ms. Aha said. "I will discuss this matter with you after class. Stay back."
Mayank sat back in his seat, dejected. He couldn't believe he was paired opposite the most lazy, sleepy, slackerish (okay I know there's no word like that😆) student in school.
"Nupur Bhushan," Ms. Aha called out. "Nuput Bhushan."
There was no answer.
"NUPUR BHUSHAN!" Ms. Aha yelled, loudly this time.
Nupur jerked awake and looked sleepily at the intruder of her sleep. She blinked a few times and gave her teacher a lazy look.
"Yes?" she asked sleepily.
"You have been paired with Mayank Sharma for your project," Ms. Aha explained carefully.
"Who's that?" Nupur asked, before slumping herself back on her "bed".
Mayank shook his head in anger and wondered why Ms. Aha had paired him with someone like her.
Just then the bell rang and every student dashed out except Mayank and Nupur. Nupur slowly got up, gathered her bag and left the room, slouching terribly.
Mayank watched her retreating figure and wondered why this girl, dressed in sweatpants and sweatshirts, with her hair tied in a messy bun was who she was. Then he went up to Ms. Aha for an explanation.

Sorry it was quite short. This FF will have mainly MayUr on focus, but it will form the lovestory of ShaNks too.
New chapter will be up maybe tonight or by next week.
