I hold a different perspective regarding the current scenario.

I think sid is very clear about his feelings for ridz. He knows deep down he is madly in love and her attempted suicide act made him feel that the person he loves so much doesn't think twice before hurting him in the most painful way.

I think it is the feeling of betrayal that is causing him to be so bitter today.
Not betrayal of love (he knows she doesn't love him), but betrayal of trust.

He extended his hand to start married life with friendship, he said he wanted to make this marriage successful, he said nothing means more to him than her happiness and naive that he is, he believed that she trusted him wen he said those words.

Her consuming poison jerked him awake and made him come face to face with the cruel truth that he and his feelings doesn't even exist for her.

Cruel it may seem, but whatever sid is doing with ridz now is just a repercussion of bruised ego, broken heart, anguished soul.....unfortunately all these r gifted by the girl he loves the most.
