Shahid pays a tribute to Michael Jackson at the 56th Filmfare Awards
Shahid Kapoor is set to pay a tribute to the late iconic pop star Michael Jackson at the Filmfare Awards on Saturday night. Shahid features in an 8-minute live performance where he will dance to four MJ songs.
Says Shahid, "I am a huge Michael Jackson fan. To be very honest, I am extremely excited but also nervous as MJ is an iconic entertainer and we had only three days to pull it off.
I was in the audience, shouting his name, when he performed in India and I would have ideally liked 15 days to rehearse for an act like this. But I am enjoying it and I am looking forward to it.
The Filmfare Awards is the best platform for the eight minute tribute."
Contrary to rampant rumours, Shahid will not be partying away his birthday today. "Actually I will be rehearsing the act the whole of Thursday, my birthday, and then have a quiet dinner with some friends," he says.
