Guys, I am sure all of you have seen the Kite Runner the movie and read the book. But do you think it should have been banned by the Afghanistan government like it was?????????

Personally, I think it shouldn't have been so. Wat say? Open your views here.

I totally disagree.....I cried a lot....the movie touched me a lot.

What Govt........there is no govt.. in Afghanistan........anyways Kite runner is a wonderful book.........it doesn't deserve to be banned...

Why should it be banned? It can be given a PG-rating if needed, but I don't see why it should be banned.

Actually.......it was banned because of the molestation scenes and the violence.

I don't get this. If it is about the molestation part, then why can the book not be restricted for a certain age group? Why should the rest not be allowed to read it? Granted that it is a very dark and depressing read, but it is also very enlightening and eye-opening. I have a feeling that it is not the molestation, but the Taliban part which is the cause.

Why was it banned?If it was because of the molestation and voilence,then the government should try to stop these sinful acts;not ban the book/movie that shows the reality.It should not have been banned.
