Kruti -- Classical, Tango + Ballroom, Bhojpuri Salsa, Jazz, Hip-hop, Indian Contemporary, Bollyhop Freestyle -- 7
Amar -- Contemporary, Hip-hop, Bhojpuri Salsa, Tango + Ballroom, Urban Style, Lyrical Style -- 6
Shakti -- Contemporary, Hip-hop, Urban Style, Lyrical Style, Freestyle -- 5
Jack -- Hip-hop, Lyrical Hip-hop, Freestyle, Contemporary -- 4
Dharmesh -- Hip-hop, Indian folk, Salsa, Freestyle, Bollywood, Acrobatia -- 6
Binny -- Hip-hop, Freestyle, Indian Contemporary, Salsa, Bollywood, Acrobatia -- 6
Kishore -- Freestyle, Indian folk, Salsa, Indian Contemporary, Acrobatia, Disco -- 6
Amrita -- Classical, Contemporary, Chachacha, Freestyle -- 4
Tashu -- Classical, Freestyle, Contemporary, Hip-hop, Classical + Western Fusion -- 5
Punit -- Contemporary + Ballet, LnP Hip-hop, Tango, B-boying -- 4
Saajan -- B-boying, Contemporary, Hip-hop + Freestyle -- 3
Shashank -- Contemporary, Hip-hop, Ballet, B-boying -- 4

Now these numbers about different styles attempted by each dancer are one thing, but when we compare the numbers of the very well executed dance forms by each dancer, the number will be highest for Shakti and Kruti above anyone else!!

but didn't shakti herself said that she wanted to do something different, and Terrence also said that it was his mistake that Shakti wasn't doing different styles? so if according to this list Shakti has done so many different styles, why would Terrence and Shakti both admit that Shakti hasn't been versatile so far and that she will do something different next time? Also why would the other two masters tell her to do something different? i mean they were both very nice to Kruti and they don't tell her to do different things but actually say that she has been doing different things. so why would they just pick on Shakti?

the problem here as a audience I would condense several variations of contemporary into one

lyrical hip hop, normal hiphop, contemporary, urban aerial all look the same to me....

its the same thing as calling kruti or tashu monotonous if they do kuchipudi, kathakali, bharatanatyam week after week

shakti looks monotonous and the mentors said so

If you had watched all the episodes so far, you will know the answer yourself, but if you missed some of them, here's the explanation. When Shakti did Urban Style during the 5th week, both Remo and Geeta were ignorant of that dance form and considered it as Contemporary! That day when they made the comment that Shakti did Contemporary again, Terence tried to explain that he did Urban Style and hoped they will see it as a different form as there were Hip-hop steps in it. Since they didnt comment about her doing Contemporary the previous weeks, from their comments that week it was clear that they had considered her Freestyle in 2nd week and Lyrical Style in 3rd week as Contemporary too!! She did Hip-hop for her solo in the kasauti round and that day both Geeta and Remo said that they are happy that she did something different! Maybe they had forgotten about it when they criticized her with Contemporary reason two weeks later...

Check all the information you can gather about the dance forms done by Shakti in all the weeks, from DID site or somewhere and verify it with my list. Why would they pick on Shakti and not Kruti - because Kruti is a classical dancer and whatever she does outside her forte will be received as a different form. Shakti's forte is Contemporary, and so whatever she does will be considered as Contemporary as long as those styles have some similarities with Contemporary.

I think it would be unfair to other contestants if Shakti can just do small variations on one form whereas the other contestants are expected to do completly differnt forms. Shasank would be great if he just did variations on Ballet his strong point. Dharmesh would be unbeatable if every week he just did small variations on hip hop.

^^^ Shashank flopped in the ballet when Remo gave him a chance to do it! Also Remo is not an expert in ballet and it would be hard for him to do complete justice unless he has an assistant who can put one for him - same way Geeta has assistants to help her with Contemporary and the like. And Dharmesh is doing variations of Hip-hop often in his solo acts, and the only time he tried not to, he was eliminated! Why take a risk like that? I also personally enjoy his style more than what Geeta comes up for him.. Remo told Dharmesh that he likes that he brings his style to everything, then why not like Shakti bringing her style to everything? Naresh and Meenu always did Hip-hop as it was their style and Remo's too. Same way I am sure Saajan would be doing more B-boying mixed with Hip-hop.. Only thing I dont get is why isnt Geeta making any of her dancers do Classical when that's her forte?!

I dont have any problems with Shakti doing more contemporary as I love that dance form above many others. But then if people are feeling that she should do completely different things and both Terence and Shakti are willing to take the risk, I am in all for them. I am sure she can do many forms and achieve near perfection in them.
