heyyy everyone...im bk with a oneshot on Mayur...I wrote dis a long tym ago on SF, so thot of posting it here too... Just a song-fic! (a friend told me dat terminology 😆 ) Its on the beach,somehow my fave romantic place for Mayur...😳 There's no pre-set background, just watever i mention in the fic...Ok, ill shut up now...😆 Hope u all like it...
Shining in the setting sun like a pearl upon the ocean,come and heal me...oh heal me...
Mayank looked at her playing and jumping across the waves...To him,she looked even more beautiful than the setting sun,that was half visible over the horizon of the vast ocean...Since the day she had come into his life,he had changed visibly,for better or for worse,only God knew...He chuckled as Nupur slipped and fell into the waves and got up,cursing vehemently...She was his first friend,his best friend...but why did she suddenly seem so different??

To kyun na main bhi keh dun,keh dun,hua mujhe bhi pyaar hua!!
Nupur vigourously rubbed her dress to wipe off the wet sand and looked up to see Mayank's intense gaze on her...Her heart fluttered as her eyes locked into his...She felt the blood rush to her cheeks and she lowered her eyes automatically...What was this strange emotion that she was feeling?? He was her best friend,but then why was she suddenly so shy,when he looked at her this way??

Mayank watched intently as the blush crept her face and a distant flicker of hope rose in his heart as she shyly lowered her eyes and fiddled with the hem of her dress...There was something that was changing between them...There was something that told him that they werent just friends anymore...
Waise to mann mera,pehle bhi raaton mein,aksar hi chahat ke,sapne sanjota tha,
Pehle bhi dhadkan,ye dhun koi gaati thi,par ab jo hota hai,haan,pehle na hota tha!!
The pull that he felt towards her was not a new emotion for him...He had felt it the first time they had met;when their first argument took place and also when they had their first agreement...Mayank smiled at those memories...The first time they had gone out just as Friends and on numerous other occasions; but today,it was something else...Her eyes had spoken to him,and told him that he wasnt the only one,with these raging emotions and he wouldnt let it go now...THIS IS IT!!!

Out of the corner of her eye,Nupur saw Mayank get up from his spot and approach her...Her heartbeat raced faster and faster,as he came closer and closer...Her reactions to him,seemed to surprise her...She couldnt explain what it was that made her so nervous,yet so excited;so scared,yet so happy at the same time...Its love!!A tiny voice in her head told her...Is it?? she asked herself and turned towards him...The pure joy she felt on seeing him, cast all her doubts aside...Yes,it is!!I love him;my best friend,Mayank!!

Mayank stopped right in front of her and looked into her big, brown, beautiful eyes, which seemed to be saying a thousand things to him, yet, at the same time, not saying anything at all...The colour on her cheeks deepened as she looked away...He hesitantly brought his hand to her chin and pulled her face upwards, to look into those deeper-than-the-ocean eyes...
"Mayank..."
"Sshhh..." He placed a palm on her lips to silence her and his fingertips seemed to linger there for a moment longer than necessary...
Her breathing seemed to have quickened and he,too,had some difficulty in keeping himself steady as he reached for her hand...
Aankho se chhu lun,ki baahein tarasti hain,
dil ne pukara hai,haan,ab to chale aao...
Placing his other hand on her waist, he pulled her close to him and smiled at her shocked yet pleased expression...He began swaying,in sync wid the waves,relishing the moment...Gently,he twirled her around and brought her back into the shelter of his arms...
Aao ki shabnam ki boondein barasti hain,
Mausam ishara hai,haan,ab to chale aao!!
Cupping her face with both his hands, he took one look at her face,and without any hesitation this time,said, "You're beautiful,Nupur..."
With that,he sat on his knees,and looked up at her...Her eyes were shining brightly as tears threatened to make their way on her cheeks,and he smiled up at her...
"I dont know how you feel about me but all I can say is that I love you,Nupur...I love u very,very much...My life is nothing without you...You complete me..."
It took all of Nupur's self-control to keep herself from bursting into tears of joy that very moment...She could hardly believe her eyes that Mayank was kneeling in front of her and did he just propose to her??Say something,Nupur...he's waiting!!
"I - I love you too,Mayank..." she spoke,her voice trembling with emotion...Mayank clutched her hand tightly and pulled her down into his arms...
