Question about Voting. USA RESIDENTS!

Does voting by texting/smsing charge? Because one of my friend's said its no charge but then someone else said its 99 cents. So I'm confused. Has anyone from the US voted? Do you guys know whether there is a charge or no charge? Thanks in advance!

It has the same costs as the text message costs that you have in the cell phone contract, but each message will also have an additional 99 cents as Premium Charges..

Here's what the zee website says:

Cost To Vote: If you text message your vote, standard text messaging fees charged by your carrier will apply. In addition, a premium text message charge of 99 cents will apply. These charges will be billed on your wireless phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance.

But what if you have an unlimited texting plan? Will the additional 99 cents apply? My friend said she texted but when her dad checked the bill it didn't charge her anything!

^^ Rani, I am not sure about it. I would also like to know if that's the case for unlimited text messaging plan... Maybe it will come up on her next bill, as that's usually the case... Please let me know if it does or not.. Ta.

i think even if u have unlimited textin u would still get charged for it because of the number tht u are sending it to becuase its not a phone number

^^ They say that? Guru, I havent seen it, but I am wondering whether they mean that if we use Raza.com service (their phonecards or prepaid accounts with PIN calling), then we can make free votes.. 😕

I vote on the DID site, but its annoying because you have to register and can only vote so many times, so I kind have made like three random email address, LoL, so I can vote for three people upto 20 or 30 times I think .

Well, I just hope that with how we all go out of our way to vote, that they better be counting them.

There is a charge Rani.....so you might want to just send one, see what happens .

yea aku, after each performance they have a banner, and it says free votes on raza.com😕
but there's nothing there.
and there's no mention of text voting, at least not on the show and the banners.
