Then these are the post-2000 actresses who didnt change their names in other languages -- Asin, Nayantara, Bhavana, Meera Jasmine, Kavya, Priyamani, Divya Unni, Gopika (this is her reel name, her real name is Girly), Navya Nair (again reel name, real life name is Dhanya), etc... Nayantara is said to be Prabhudeva's GF... She has tattooed his name on her hand...

The same way, mallu movies had a lot of Telugu actresses and they were the top heroines for many years. Many of them started with Malayalam and then moved to Tamil or Telugu, when many of them stayed with Malayalam and then settled in Kerala for good... Then there are many mallu actors too who have done well in Tamil - Mammootty, Jayaram, Rahman, Prithvraj, Jayasurya, Cochin Haneefa, Kalabhavan Mani, Devan (he has acted a lot in Kannada), and so on... Then many Tamil actors are originally from Kerala or of Kerala origin - MGR, Ajitkumar, and the like.. Gees, my post is so long already!! 😃

You left out the beautiful Madhavi 😃 I was told she's a mallu and Geeta too. You are so right. Mallus have been around, on south indian screens, from quite sometime.
Although, i thought Rekha was a tamil??? She's Gemini Ganesan's daughter right? I hope that's the same Rekha you were talking about.

I am not sure if Madhavi and Geeta are mallus.. I think Madhavi is Telugu and Geeta is Tamil.. Both of them have acted in many mallu movies... Same like Gauthami, Bhanupriya, Sridevi, Jayapradha, Rambha, Sumaletha, Suhasini, Nandita Das, Kasturi, Kanika, and all... Sridevi is said to be half Tamil by malluwood magazines - that her father is a mallu... Not sure though... Many of them either started in Malayalam or always liked to act in Malayalam too while doing movies in other languages...

Rekha is not the Rekha in Hindi, but another Rekha who has acted a lot in Tamil as well as Malayalam... Some of her Tamil movies are En Bommukutty Ammavukku, Kadalora Kavithaigal, etc... Here's a picture of hers:
