After this week, if anyone had any doubts as to the awesomeness of the Modi brothers, they had to have been cleared by the amazing performance of Mr. Karan Wahi.

While I missed Abhikins here, he was busy skiing in the Swiss Alps with Armaan. The tickets couldn't be cancelled at such short notice, but they did send a sweet card and flowers to Sid and Riddhima.
Back to my original point of my post, Abhi has always been a very logical and straightforward character. From the moment he first stepped onto the screen in DMG, he was all business and no-nonsense. Which was what Sanjeevani needed at the time. Not to mention amazing style. Of course, as time went on, he became more than that, he helped Riddhima in the charity show, he saved Nikita a number of times, and he saved Sanjeevani from losing a very important intern called Siddanth Modi.
Sid, when he first came to the screen, was a happy-go-lucky guy who was content with his Playstation, his stereo and his superhero tee shirts. The guy was all about having a good time and looking down his nose at others. You wondered how he could be related to a macho dude like Abhi. But then, the way he came back to help Tams in her hour of need and save her career, how he moved to the chawl and left his cozy house, and the way he has been there for Naina as a friend and said goodbye to Tamanna when she got married, this guy has come a long way. Not to mention, trading in his crewneck cotton shirts for the classic UB shirts sported by most of the guys. Not only has his style changed, but his character as well. He slowly but surely started to fill the big shoes left by Abhimanyu. And that transformation was complete when he saved Riddhima's life and told her off for how she was acting. Yeah, he isn't an IOTM, he hasn't finished his internship yet, but he cares about her and he cares about what it would do to her parents if they saw her like that. The episode was one in which he showed his true colours and they were all brilliant.

Agreed
Good post
Both the men have their own persona but still similar
The maturity shown by sid nowhere days is worth applauding and specially the way he handled his heartbreak. He was more mature about it in than Riddhima .I agree his heartbreak was not as heartwrenching as riddhima, but still it was a heartbreak and they are painful whatever the case maybe. So,Sid taking it in a positive stride is worth something learning from him.

Awesome post, Trinnzie. Sigh.... Modi Men.

Abhimanyu stays the strongest male character etched in DMG ever besides Shankypanks. Every inch a sophisticated , uptight , conceited but a marshmallow alpha man- he had an ugly painful past but he covered it beautifully until Nikki tug at his heartstrings. Abhi was simply AMAZING.

And as you rightly said, Sid's world was riches , sports cars , high-life until Tamanna's rejection and exit began to change him - and Riddhima's whirlwind entry into his life upset all the balances and ruffled all the feathers - and we saw the ultimate evolution of Sid from an overgrown brat into a responsible compassionate man who shielded Riddhima from all dangers and found his true self....fantastic.

As you often say , it is something about the Modi genes.

Thank you. :))
Even before Tamanna left, I recall when he was dancing with Diya and he would glance over at Tams all worried how she would react. As much as he liked Diya, he was falling for Tams. And then yes, Tamanna's leaving changed him, so noone can deny she made a difference in him, made him less class-conscious and a deeper person.
Abhi covered his past so completely until Nikki came to him, no argument there. I love how they have run the Modi thread so well between these two men. And I miss their scenes together.
He isn't the same guy who would have to go to his bro for advice, now he's becoming his own man and he proved that so well last week when he saved Rids' life and hid her from everyone.

Brilliant post Trinzie!
I completely agree with everything you've said! These 2 Modi cousins are just amazing! Abhi has always been one of the most sensible characters of DMG and had one of the best characterizations. He may not be the most 'perfect' person, but I've always admired him for his sensibility.
Coming to Sid, his character has had such a phenomenal transformation compared to how he entered the show. Tamanna's presence in his life truely changed him for the better, and even after her exit he turned out to be a stronger person than he earlier was. After Riddhima's entry, Sid went in for a roller coaster of ugly situations and kept facing tough moments one after the other. Everything that Sid has been through has made him more mature and more sensible.
Sometimes I cannot even tell that this current Sid was the same care free, spoilt Houston-returned brat he use to be.

Thanks Dangs!! I just love how even Abhi didn't lose his temper until the day Armaan pushed him into the water, and it reminds me of how Sid kept his cool until Rids had him arrested. Yet Sid didn't keep running to his cousin, he took things in stride and grew up fast. I love him for that.
